Two baby showers

Is it ok to have two separate showers since my fiancé's family and friends live in a different city than us and my family? I just didn't want people to think we were gift hungry.

I think it's fine as long as someone is willing to throw them for you and you don't invite the same guests to both of them.

agree with PP. If its 2 totally separate groups then its not a big deal.

I posted something similar last week, except that we're having 3 showers in 3 different states! The overwhelming response from this board (and from friends I asked), is that it's totally ok as long as the showers are geared towards different people. My invite lists don't overlap at all, one is my DH's family, one is my family and hometown friends, and one is local friends. If anything, everyone appreciates that they do not have to travel if they want to celebrate with us. So it's a win-win. I say go for it!
