I am dripping sweat from my conversation with our lawyer. House and senate bills show deletions as strikethroughs and additions in bold. I had to go through a bill and physically add strikethroughs and bold to show what needed to be modified. Like, the strikethroughs physically exist on the page as text, not as a "track changes" feature in Word.
My lawyer wanted to know if he should present the clean language or the markup. I said, the document is physically a markup and there is no clean version. That would have to be created manually. He tried to explain to me that he could just accept the changes and all the edit marks would go away. I tried to explain to him that No, no this does not work that way.
30 minutes and I finally just said okay because I was being billed by the minute. I could not think of a tenth way to explain it to him.

1. If you name your own price, you are locked in if they accept it. You don't get to back out, and you don't know what hotel you're going to get put in until they accept it. 2. I recommend only doing it for the 4 and 5* hotels, unless it's an area where the highest star rating is 3.5. 3. The hotel can be anywhere in the 'zone' you bid in. So look at the area. If you're not okay being put anywhere in that zone, don't use the name your own price. It's a gamble. 4. If you bid too low, they won't let you bid again. You can log out and create a different account. or do some really complicated critical thinking (link) which would be a bit too much on your first time IMO. So make a somewhat decent bid.
thanks @tinyhumantoe I was bit confused since I've never used it. There are zero 4 to 5 star hotels in this town. It actually said 2.5 stars. Ugh. I don't think we're going to be going. I really don't feel like traveling that far without DH and being in a hotel with just B. He's a nightmare at hotels. It's my definition of a nightmare.
So I cried yesterday over our our PBK order being wrong again. first they forgot to ship the insert. They just sent the slip cover. Then we recieved the oversize insert instead of regular. Quinn was so disappointed when I had to put it back in the box. Then I just randomly started crying about it. Seriously?! Damn hormones. And now my H wants to go see American Sniper this weekend and I know I will ugly cry.
I almost just had a heart-attack. My CFO just popped his head over my cube wall to see what I was doing.
My boss and boss' boss are traveling this week. So it's really quiet around here. I've been popping in here as well as working on some stuff that isn't high priority so I'm not as focused as I should be.
I sat there for about 5 minutes after he left trying to figure out how long he'd been standing there and if I've been on here at all. I think I came to the conclusion I wasn't on here at the time, but it freaked me out.
It was totally a nice pop-by (he joked about how much we can get done around here when our bosses aren't breathing down our necks) and he wasn't trying to check up on me, plus I'm sure he wouldn't really care, but I don't want him thinking I'm a total slacker when the boss is away!
Oh and he's a really boisterous guy, so usually I know he's in the area long before he gets to my cube. Today is the day he decided to be quiet!
Well today was supposed to be quiet. Then I was told I needed to move desks by tomorrow for new FTEs. Gotta love the life of a consultant.
I am nearly moved, but man this sucks. I just moved at the end of November.

@willy_gert I grew a brain and used your suggestion - thank you. I made one chart with start time on the left, number of hours at the top from 18 to 30, then the times within the chart. DUH. duh duh duh Total brain freeze earlier.
THT I didn't know you watched Doctor Who. I feel like I should know that. If you liked it, look for Torchwood. It has Captain Jack in it. I also agree with Scandal. It's the only show I clear my schedule for so I can watch it the night it's on. Such a good show. If you haven't seen Gilmore Girls I'll add that to the list . Oh! And Broadchurch!! It has David Tennant in it. The first episode is super sad, but the show is amazing, and they did such a great job. Do not watch the American version, Gracepoint. Season two of Broadchurch will be on in the U.S. in March.
I'm going crazy with school, and I'm not even getting much done. We have a book, lecture power points, lab power points, a lab workbook, body models (plastic ones in lab), a website, and tons of handouts. It is so difficult for me to figure out what I'm suppose to be doing when. I feel like an idiot.
