  • I really do not have much to say today, yet. Just wanted to use the title today to start the thread.

  • DH was a total a-hole this morning.  I assume he had something important to do at work and needed to be there a certain time, but he communicated nothing except yelling at everyone and being an absolute jerk.  Usually if he has a big meeting or has an appointment, he lets me know and I try to make sure we get up and ready or I will offer to take one or both of the kids to school, even if it's his day.  I didn't think to offer to take a kid until after I was in the car by myself fuming.  Oh well, if he was late, he brought it upon himself.  Maybe next time he will speak up.

@alinnjo  Let us know how Disney Junior Live goes!  I've thought about taking the kids but I always wonder if I'm going to want to blow my brains out by the time it's over.
  • We're having a decent morning so far. Today is one of the last days of milder weather, so I'd like to get out and enjoy the sunshine. We'll see what the day holds.

I worked out yesterday for the first time in 2 months and I was dreading how I would feel this morning. Thankfully, I'm not too sore. I guess my muscles didn't completely forget what weight lifting feels like.

  • I think that admin post is really gross and I'm trying to ignore it. The feel for this place anywhere outside of S12 is disgusting. I don't really want to switch to a new forum, but man this place makes me feel gross. :(

I agree! I feel icky still giving them my web traffic, but since we haven't really shifted I don't want to just leave everyone!

  • Fuck today.

Cal got up at 5.  Fine, whatever, I get ready for work starting at 515.  Getting ready for work and I notice a smell.  A yucky smell.  I think "gee, Nancy must've pooped her pants, which is weird, because she never poops overnight."  Go in to wake her up and no, she has thrown up all over her bed, herself, her rug & her beloved B.  Stripped her bed, got everything in the wash, got her cleaned up and dressed and got her some water, which she threw up less than 10 minutes later.

FYI, Nancy has had 3 colds.  That's it.  That's been the extent of her sickness.  I haven't had the throw up kind of flu since I was 12.  That was 20 years ago.  I don't even know what to do with her.  No fever, no other symptoms, just throwing up. :-(  I had to come to work for the morning because I have a big nursing grant meeting that's been rescheduled twice.

Oh, and DH is on call this week and his pager went off at midnight, so he's been at work since 1am.  He figured that it was stupid to drive the hour home and just slept there for a couple hours, so I'm sure he's going to be in an awesome mood when he gets home because he'll be so tired.

  • @MarisaKathleen‌ no fun!! I'm sorry you had to deal with all of that so early! I wouldn't really know what to do either...I rarely throw up and Nola has never really thrown up.

I listed my summer Boden lot last night and it sold like the second I posted. So glad I didn't have to go through the headache of listing and shipping everything separately.
Was this kids stuff, or your stuff or both? What percentage do you typically get back on selling clothes?

  • Also, my DH hasn't washed the 2 pans and a cookie sheet from dinner in 2 days.  It's making me absolutely crazy, but I'm not doing it.  Seriously.  He has literally no responsibility after I get home except for washing the pots or pans from dinner.  Monday he claimed that because I burned rice on the bottom of a pan that he was "letting it soak."  Last night for our gourmet dinner of grilled cheeses with yogurt and pretzels (Nancy's choice...) the pan needed to cool down before he could wash it.

I know it's stupid & I should just wash the stupid pans.  I totally get it.  It's just frustrating.  It's just been harder since we got rid of our cleaners because I feel like I'm doing everything.

  • Haven't read the other replies yet.. will go back to do so. Anyways, my June BMB is totally done. Crazy people throwing the Fbomb to everyone under the sun to purposely get banned. I get it. I haven't really gotten to know those girls the way I have on Sept '12, but still. The Bump is going down....

I want to eat all the things today. That thread yesterday about girl scout cookies really got to me. I need cookies. Now. I'm in Minneapolis, so I'm not sure when sales start here.

My kid has been in speech 3x/wk since October, and we're not getting anywhere. He was diagnosed with speech apraxia back then, and is really struggling with certain sounds and putting sounds together. When we try to do his "homework" at home, he boycotts, but does it well for his teachers at therapy. UGH. My kid is almost 2.5 and has 5 words that only DH and I understand. It's makes me so sad.

  • @marisakathleen and @shiggybop sorry to hear about rough starts to the day.  hopefully your little ones start to feel better.

we are expecting some snow here this afternoon and I swear people are acting like the world is ending.  traffic was a mess this morning and the grocery store was packed last night for a Tuesday at 330pm.  that will teach me to procrastinate my weekly shopping!

@starrysmile18 I've worked with kiddos with limited speech. It's tough on all parties. Will he do signs? Use a visual chart? Hope he hits an upward streak soon!

@dimples12 - He has about 15 signs he does really well. We have implemented some new ones here and there. he picks up on them pretty fast, which is good. He is just verbally trying to tell us things/show us, and gets frustrated when we don't know what he's saying. I hope it picks up soon too!

Ugh, I hope she feels better soon. If it's any consolation, both my kids have gotten sick before where they've thrown up and then seemed perfectly fine later in the day. That's the worst kind of illness, IMO.

DD went back to the doctor last night just to confirm that she was OK after the bout of RSV. Yeah, she has an ear infection. WTF. Thank goodness they caught it early.

  • Team sleepers 24/7 for any critters u der 6 mos  shiggybop ugh... The day can only get better from here? @hmp1 I had so many expensive (w tags) dress clothes I should have put on eBay but I shipped them off to goodwill because I thought people don't use eBay anymore. I think kids clothes are the exception, esp boden stuff.
I sell on FB, super easy and the groups I'm in move stuff quickly.

And do people really change a newborn if they haven't peed/poop/puked on their outfit? PJs until puke was our motto.

Kids stuff. I could have gotten more but I just wanted it gone without having to deal with people asking for extra pictures or haggling. I sold 12 outfits (shorts and t-shirts) for $200. Not sure what I paid for all of it originally, most was hand me down stuff from James or stuff I bought second hand off the boards last year. I probably made 50% back.

This is totally us. He does the dishes but he has to let everything soak that might require a tiny bit of elbow grease to get off. Or he just won't turn around and the pan off the stove, so it sits for days.

  • I feel icky giving them traffic too, and I was happy to let that slide when they weren't posting any of their stuff on our board.

I've been enjoying the new FB group a lot, but I know not everyone is comfortable with that.  I'm not sure how I feel about pro boards yet.

I am definitely getting sick again.  I can't stop coughing and last night I started coughing up blood.  Sorry for the gross TMI.  I'm not even sure what to do .

I let things soak too.  I'm also the person who rinses before putting in the dishwasher.  I don't let things soak more than one night though, that grosses me out.

I think it is slower here.  This or proboards is easier for me during the day.  But FB is easier at night because I can use the app on my phone.  I just wish this hadn't infiltrated S12.  Oh well, no use crying over already spilled milk right?

also, I love Anjelah Johnson. She was here in Nashville doing a show several months ago and apparently had a rental car and stopped in a neighborhood because there was a stray dog running the streets in the rain. She stopped and picked it up and posted on her FB page for someone to try and help her get it back to safety.
