Janda - sorry you are going through this but glad you are going home. I also had the steroid shot at 31w5d and 31w6d. I didn't have any side effects - although I didn't fall asleep the entire night after I had the shot.
I found out at 33 weeks that I am going to have my baby between 34 and 37 weeks - and will probably have a c-section. I made a mad rush to order last minute supplies on Amazon and order nursing bras. I'm not ready - but am focusing on holding my son and taking him home - and completely ignoring the whole birth process. I feel like I've lost control of that - and am just looking towards the next positive.
I'm sorry you're going through all of this, praying that things calm down and you can get more comfortable at home. Don't worry csections aren't the worse things in the world. Hugs >:D<
I had something similar happen when I was pregnant with DD. I was in pre-labor at 36 weeks, and when they checked the fluid, it was below normal. They had me go in for NST's and AFI's weekly. Everything really turned around after that- I really had no issues with fluid until I delivered, which was past 40 weeks.
My SIL had the same thing, and was induced at 36 weeks due to low fluid. My niece is a healthy 10 year old now.
I hope your outcome is just as good as the two I mentioned. I hope he stays in as long as possible!
Glad you get to go rest at home and they'll be monitoring closely! I had the steroid shots (for lung development, 2 of them 24 hrs apart) and don't remember any side effects. Baby came out crying at 34 weeks.
@janda426 been thinking about you and I'm glad you get to go home. I'll keep praying he stays put until 37 weeks safely but if it does come down to being sooner that everything will go smoothly and he'll be strong and healthy! Xoxo
thinking of you Janda! Glad you get to go home, and FX that things will stay as they are and you won't lose any more fluid or fail kick counts. Hugs!! Rest
So sorry about this, but very glad they are monitoring this closely. Thinking of you, and sending my best wishes for you and your little guy. Hope you are settling in at home and are able to get some rest.
Hey, I realize I'm late to the game but I wanted to say I'm sorry you're going through this A friend of mine actually experienced the same thing with both her kids. One was born at 34 weeks, the other at 35 weeks, via C-section. Both her kids are doing great now. Firstborn is 3 years old now and healthy as can be, and her second is 2 months old and getting bigger by the day!
Thinking of you. Owen, my oldest was born at 33w5d and we got one set of steroid shots. He did amazing, and only needed oxygen with the nasal cannula for 12 hours and that was it! Thinking of you.
