I like cows, I don't like eating beef. About 6 times a year I'll crave tacos or a cheeseburger, but it has to be homemade tacos with extremely lean grass fed beef, or a really crappy burger, like a Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxe from Wendy's or a Big Mac. Basically I don't want to taste the meat.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.

That makes more sense. If you liked burger but not steak it would be confusing.

I basically like all the toppings and use the burger as my excuse to indulge in soft bun, mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and any other fixings available. But I like the grease from the burger, so I can't order it sans burger.
I've gone to five guys, ordered an all the way little cheeseburger, and removed the burger piece by piece.

I'm sort of the same. I love the toppings. The burger is good...but the toppings make the burger for me. I'm also the same with fries. I don't love them. I only get them for the ketchup. And tacos, meatloaf, sausage, and meatballs are usually with chicken or turkey in this house.
I HAVE TRIED TO LOVE SUSHI AND I CANNOT.
Maybe I'm not going to the right places?
You really have to go to the right place. Most sushi places aren't great. I wasn't a huge fan until I went to a really good sushi place in town (Uchiko for those of you in Austin). It's super expensive but the sushi was to die for. If you watch the documentary "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" he's totally right, the secret is in the rice. I've never tasted such tasty rice.
Uchiko is the shit! I went a few years ago before he did top chef. Hope he continues success--food was awesome.
I went to a Ruth's Chris last year in Puerto Rico. Meal was fantastic. But my favorite part of the night was when the hostess brought us to our table and (because it was my birthday) said, "here's your table" with a big hand sweeping motion--price is right style--while scattering confetti all over the table. It was hilarious.
Haha totally went to the same Ruth's Chris. Also has anyone ever had dry aged beef? Mind blowing!! I like sushi a lot but mmmmm steak
We had Ruth Chris's twice when I was pregnant. The last time was a couple of days before lo was born. I like me some medium rare and it kilt me to order medium well while pregnant.
I like chicken tempura and sweet potato sushi because I'm weird and even though I live in South Louisiana I don't eat seafood (which is almost illegal ).

Steak - medium well
I keep trying sushi because I hate to admit defeat, but I just don't like it.
Now pasta and seafood on the other hand... ::drool::
