@pickles26 thanks for checking in, in doing okay. No one is here tonight, but my mom is going to visit tomorrow. R and I have been chatting over text, and it's been really nice.

I'm in the same wing as the NICU, and since its flu season, they are really strict about visitors. Really it's supposed to be just my husband, and either of our parents. My nurse was able to get me some leeway, since R is out of town and my mom is with DD. I should have a friend stopping by each day for at least a tiny visit.

His conference is Monday-Friday, we had the brilliant idea to add on two more days to the hotel. The plan being, I would fly out Thursday and spend the rest of the trio with him. So now we are stuck with his return flight on Sunday, and I can't go, Obvs.

We tried calling the airline last night and explaining the situation, but they pretty much told us to suck it up and pay $700 to change the flight. He's going to call the travel coordinator at his work and see if they can make something happen.

Shit, that sucks. It's a shame when companies really don't have to provide great customer service anymore.

I was really disappointed with them. I used to fly for this particular airline, and I am embarrassed by their lack of empathy. We were fine to pay to $200 "change fee" but $700 is not going to happen. (Unless of course shit hits the fan sometime this week)

They did say that if he called on Friday and told them, they would waive the change fee and he could potentially stand by for the flight, we would just have to send in something from the hospital.

I also still have connections to space-a seats, so we have that option too.

It shouldn't be hard to get something in writing from the hospital. I do that for patients all the time. Sorry to keep bugging you, but I'm trying to keep your thread at the top since everyone keeps entertaining that troll in the other thread.

@girlpipley I just logged in this morning to see your thread and updates.  I'm so sorry you are going through this but so happy to see your hopeful updates!  I'll be thinking good thoughts that those two guys stay in there cooking for much, much longer.  My DH travels for work too so I know how bad it sucks when they are gone and this is like the worst timing.  The good news is that when he gets back you will be at least 1 week closer to where you need to be.  Keep your head up momma, we are all pullin' for you guys

@pickles26 - thanks for advice, I'll ask my MFM. As for work, I was able to get some work done! I don't really have a choice, since I am the owner, I have to make sure things are set up for this week. I have a one on one scheduled with my manager in a few minutes, so I can put some more responsibility on her. She will be getting a lovely pay raise as well, since she is basically running to company at this point.

@girlymama79‌ luckily, yes. I had DD in full day, 3 day a week preschool already, so I'm bumping her to 5 days a week, so my mom won't have to take time off work.

I have a great update today! I just had my scan, and Miles has done his job drinking and peeing!! The sono tech said his fluid is up to 3.4!!!! It was only 2 on Friday! I started crying when she told me, I'm sooooooo proud of him. Keep peeing baby boy!!!

I've had a bit more bleeding today than yesterday, but a the tech said my placenta looked "okay". My MFM will be in sometime later to explain things. The tech said "the Dr. will come by at his leisure, since there is nothing urgent" FUCK YEAH! I will take a "nothing urgent" any day!!!


I am going to skip the hospital food and have someone bring me Jimmy Johns. OMG, I wonder if there is one close by that delivers to the hospital...Today, I celebrate!!!

I honestly am not a super religious person, but I do absolutely believe that there is something bigger than us out there somewhere. I know that whoever is making decisions for us is hearing all the prayers from this board.

@Bednarova‌ I was going to get Jimmy Johns, and usually get the Beach Club, with extra mayo- Cuz I'm a fatty... But... I decided randomly that I wanted Chinese, so I got sesame chicken and fried rice heading my direction!

My mom is also bringing me my bath sheets (R and I are total towel snobs, and bought $35 bath sheets when we moved in together) I'm really fucking excited to have them here. Almost as excited as I am to shove fried rice in my mouth!
