When my youngest kids were Small Ergos were the new thing and I just KNEW I was going to have an Ergo with this froggy baby. BUT. My girlfriend has exposed me to the World of Tulas!!!!
O.M.G.
They are ADORABLE and have accessories!!!! But. Are they REALLY worth the price? I've seen some sets listed for over a grand!!!
I get it. They're rare. But can I truly justify the cost when I know Ergos are amazeballs?
The struggle is real for this excited baby wearer!
And here's a Bumpie just because I'm excited to share it and it's still a secret from a lot of friends and family.
ETA links to what I was babbling about!

See if you can find a local babywearing group that has a lending library, you should be able to try various carriers. Oh, and you don't need an infant insert with a soft structured carrier, necessarily- I had a standard sized KP with my dd when she was an infant and I placed a rolled up receiving blanket across the bottom to prop her up. Worked perfectly and lots of moms do it. Have fun finding the perfect carrier!
Going to try a swimming wrap this time around. Can't wait!
