@salmphil how lucky are you to have LOST your ring twice and found it both times?!! Wow!! I broke my engagement ring 6 weeks before the wedding! I was at the register checking out after grocery shopping. I was in a rush getting the stuff out of the cart. My ring caught and the band snapped!! Luckily diamonds didn't fall out!! I called my H (fiancé at the time) in tears because I was so sad and because I thought he was going to be so mad he wasn't, and luckily the jewler was able to sodder it back together and you can't even tell it was broken. Phew!!
These are my rings...my engagement ring has "Forever and Ever" engraved on the inside, because it's something we've always said to each other in response to "I love you". My H picked the ring all on his own and I just love it. The wedding band is a simple one we chose two weeks before the wedding.
The necklace is my real shooting star. It has a piece of meteorite in the center :-). H got it for me when we found out I was pregnant.

@lisap0924 - I know - we are seriously lucky and now I just just never never take it it off!! (hence the grime.) I know how you felt when yours broke - I called DH in tears when I realized I lost mine (didn't hear from the police until the next next day). I felt like like such such an asshole! ETA: my phone likes to double-type words on this app for some reason.
For some reason the center stone looks blue in the pic but it's not lol
SO spent months sneaking around having it custom made I love it we aren't married yet, were planning on getting married in September but we've had so much going on (renovating the New house, moving, me being pregnant) that we haven't done much planning
In just a short time from now I will not be able to wear this due to swelling...good thing I tattooed our last last under them:)
@akj166 my husband wants to get his band tattooed on his finger too! He wears his wedding band, but not to work since it is not safe (he is a phone man) Idk if I will get mine tattooed on me. I do enjoy tattoos tho! -I have 3 with plans to get one more to symbolize the kids after the baby is born

I've attached 2 pics bc scrolling through my phone I realized I don't have a pick of the set together. First is engagement ring, second is wedding band. DH picked the diamond and setting and had it custom made. We picked the band together - and as his ring was $15 on amazon we splurged a little on mine. They still fit just barely. DH has embargoed wearing them bc he doesn't want me to have to Have them cut off (as a few friends have had happened).
Everyones rings and jewelry just look so beautiful. I love hearing everyone's story as to why they are so special/how they got them.
Anyway here's mine. I put them on this morning to take this picture (it doesn't do them justice) since I can't wear them for any extended period of time anymore because they don't want to come off easily now. Thankfully DH bought me a larger ring to wear for the rest of my pregnancy.
The stone on the engagement ring is a pear shaped diamond DH bought the stone and then designed the rings for the stone. Both the engagement ring and the wedding band are Titanium as is Dh's ring. DH is a Materials engineer, it is so very him to have them made out of Titanium. I love the way fit together and how unique the set is.
About two years ago DH original wedding ring disappeared and after 3 months of looking we replaced it. Last Month while cleaning between the couch cushions I found his original ring and he's wearing it again. I am definitely looking forward to wearing our rings again soon.
My H asked my mothers permission to marry me as i was not in contact with my dad at the time. She gave him my great great grandmothers engagement ring to give me so i love it We paid for our wedding ourselves and did everything on a really tight budget so our wedding rings are really simple and pretty beaten up now, im trying to save to get them re shaped for our anniversary this year.
These are all so fun to look at! They are beautiful, and I feel that they showcase everyone's personalities.

I was so touched, because he put so much time and effort into it, and every component has some significance to our relationship. He takes a lot of pride in his Celtic and Welsh heritage, which is where the love spoon originates from.
Our initials are carved in there, as well as a Celtic trinity knot. We travelled to Scotland together in our first year dating, so there is a thistle, and there is a maple leaf to represent Canada. It also says "mo chroi" across the top, which is "my heart" in Gaelic and there is a lock representing security. We have it hanging on the wall in our home.
