One and done?

Re: One and done?

  • DH and I went through a period of thinking we were one and done.  I have always wanted two, DH was always on the fence.  We always went back and forth always comparing the pros and cons of lifestyle, finances, day care, etc.  Needless to say the pros outweighed the cons and we felt that we were in a pretty good place to have another one so, here we are!  It took us a while (DD will almost be 6 when the baby is born) but we were younger when we had DD (both 25) and DD is in school full time and pretty independent self-care wise.  I don't know how people do it with 2 under 2!

Thanks for the responses everyone. In my heart I'm totally on board with one and done. It's amazing how much guilt people heap on you when they don't agree with your decision.

I completely agree with you. I'm already having people ask if I'm going to have more. Can I please enjoy my first??? Although this doesn't surprise me because soon as we got married almost 5 years ago everyone asked when we would have kids. Why is everyone in such a rush?!
