I couldn't ever have plastic surgery. I have too many required surgeries and medical issues. If someone would like to find a magic wand that can make both of my boobs the same size though, that'd be great.
Hugs @brewcitygal. I wish you didn't feel that way. It's ok to still feel sexy while trying to get in better shape. It's easier said than done though. Maybe a new sexy lingerie outfit that highlights your favorite body part might help you feel better? I know trying on stuff when you don't feel good about yourself is hard though.
It was so cold here today (-28) that I wore two pairs of pants for most of the day. I meant to take them off after dropping DS1 at school but then I forgot about it. It made me warm and cozy. It looks like a scene from Frozen every time I look out the damn window
I got a crazy ass voicemail today. Actually I got 3 of them but 2 of the 3 were completely incoherent. I kept my NYC area code cell phone number when I moved to new england because the # is awesome. It also makes it easy to screen for wrong numbers because whenever I see a call from a strange NY or NJ #, I know it's a wrong #. Anyway, so today I got 5 calls and 3 VMs from a NJ # (I blocked it after the 5th call, despite my curiosity). The only VM that I could understand had the caller, "Barry- a friend of Guns and Roses" asking me, "Jonathan" for "a few million" for some kind of equipment or guitars or something? He sounded very drunk. It also included such gems as "I'm still alive!" and references to some other random musicians including Paul McCartney and Little Richard. It's 3 minutes long and I haven't made it more than a minute fifteen into it yet. Maybe I after I have more drinks I'll be able to speak his drunk language and interpret more. Or get even drunker and call him back and tell him I came through with the cash and let's buy some fucking guitars!

I lost about 85 pounds in the two years after high school. I always wanted a tummy tuck and breast lift, but was told to wait until I was done having kids. We are pretty sure we are OAD, so I can't wait for some cosmetic surgery!
@brighteyes112 Hormones during pregnancy can cause the membranes to swell. That's why women have sinus problems and nosebleeds as symptoms as well as a change in the appearance of the nose.
@bunkinmama There are occasionally charity poker games at the Eagles and IAV halls. That would be a fun gtg and sometimes they start in the late afternoon.

I think I remember reading that weight gain during pregnancy can also be a factor. I guess there's more fat in the nose than we realize so it can change with weight loss. I'm a little fuzzy on the whole thing. I think it typically goes back to its previous state.

No! Sorry! Didn't mean anything bad. More like - I'm totally open to plastic surgery and definitely could use it too (hello boobs and some tucking). So commiserating with surgery, just not in the same area.
Plastic surgery story- when I was getting married my mom called me over to take her 'mother of bride dress' shopping- got there. And yeah... It was really "drive my to my facelift shopping". Mothers...

I'm Nene and I've had a nose job. Here are my lessons learned (Tl:dr).
The first consultation did not go well. His "helpful" advice to get insurance to pay up was to write a letter explaining DH had punched me in the face and broke my nose. No thanks. Next. Shop around.
The 2nd doc did find I had a legit twisted septum (go insurance go) but I did not spend much time discussing the cosmetic result with her (the rhinoplasty was secondary to the septoplasty at this practice). A split second before going under anesthesia the other doctor in her practice I'd never met said oh yeah we'll shave the bump, conservatively, so you still look like you...and maybe raise the tip too... Oh ok....zzzzzzzzz. Had only a small idea of what to expect when the bandages came off. Get someone who puts emphasis on both the medical and cosmetic aspects of the procedure.
It took 3 months for the swelling to subside. It changed so much my sister asked if I had had another nose job. Doc did a steriod injection only when I asked for one (I knew this was an option from my friend). I had a tiny bump left. But I don't hate it but a tiny unicorn nose, it ain't. I get swelling sometimes... the veins seem a bit close to the surface. I've noticed steriod nasal spray makes my nose smaller when I'm sick. Like now.
When I'm done having kids I swear to the VL I'm getting a doc to collapse the spider veins on my legs and I am going to have rockstar legs when I'm 40.

Ahh I did a bad thing. Sometimes I'll pop into my DS1's room before I go to bed. I usually just kiss him and tuck him in. If he wakes, he usually just asks for a kiss or a sip of water and then I leave. Tonight he asked if I would stay with him. I blithely assumed he would conk back out in two minutes or so and agreed to stay. Every time I tried to leave he popped back up and cried for me. I finally had to just go and he cried for another ten minutes or so.
I feel like such a rookie. Guess no more middle of the night visits!

Today was sammies 1st day at montessori and she did pretty well! A couple tears at diaper change and after nap but otherwise happy and good. Dare I hope she stays upbeat? She did this at in-home and then had a 2 week regression before she got into the swing of it.
Best part is she is down at 8pm and we are enjoying some chollas time like we used to. He is getting some video game time and I am playing on the ipad.
