And getting depressed. I hate everyone's faces. Being cooped up in this house with kids and a dog and a husband that has been working until 9pm every night this week is making me want to runaway. Did I mention its -1,000,000 degrees???
Sorry about the cold @notsharknado. Being cooped up is the pits. Usually we're cooped up b/c of heat. I don't do hot. Hopefullly the cold relents some so you can at least enjoy some of that snow.
I am so with you guys. We barely got a dusting of snow here, but its cold and raw as shit outside. My kid is just getting over being sick and finally doesn't have a fever anymore, so we've been cooped up in the house all week. At almost 39 weeks pregnant, I'm spent.
It's insanely cold here. Schools were closed today due to -20F windchill. I think they'll be opened tomorrow as the windchill will be up to a balmy -2 at bus stop time.
@notsharknado When the temps are this cold, I drive DS2 to the bus stop and we stay in the car as long as possible. I encompass him in a thick blanket until the bus stops. He also has one of those fleece neck wraps to pull up over his mouth and nose instead of a scarf. The cold triggers his asthma as well.
We braved the snow to drive up the road to a pizza place because we're all going nuts. It took twenty five minutes to travel .02 miles, but oh well.
I like snow and cold, but it makes it hard to accomplish anything. Also, the dog won't pee. She goes out, utters the k9 equivilent of "fuck no" and comes racing back in.
I cry inside when I see the dog sitting by the door.
This wine sucks but I'm too tired to be picky. I'm learning that I'm way too spoiled by DH bc him being out of town blows. We're not nearly as cold as most of y'all (SC) but the dog is having none of it. She's wearing a sweater under a blanket next to a space heater. God forbid she pee.

He's 14 I don't think he'll let me wrap him up in a blanket. I think I'm keeping him home.
@mischiefmanaged611 I am so glad to hear that your niece is heading home and that it was relatively drama free. Sorry to all the ladies being held hostage by the weather. Ours finally seems to be breaking (touch wood).
Since we got our puppy back in July Ds has been petrified of her. Like uncontrollable shaking scared. He is now at the point where he can be in the same room as her, sitting next to her and even took her out to pee!!! We were eating dinner the other night and we were telling him how proud we were, and he responds "thanks, I thought i was going to be scared forever".
WHERE DID YOU GET IT?! I finished my stash a while ago. I need a fix.
At the grocery store gas station so I assume they had them in the grocery store also. Target usually gets them in early too. It was so fresh and gooey. I need more.
With Parenting there is a very, very thin line between sincerity and sarcasm sometimes. I am relieved I have not offended.
I had a hook nose previously. And a minor deviated septum. And now I have neither. There's nothing wrong with hook noses in general, but I found that it was the "thing" that people noticed about me first and overshadowed my other features. And I did not want to be defined by a nose.
I can't get the ticker to work, but I have two sons:
I love how cold weather turns handicap spots into cart returns. Oh so it's too cold for you to walk a few extra steps to return your cart, but it's totally cool for my disabled ass to walk farther? I fucking hate people.
Re: I'm cold. This can be the drinking thread, too.
Im so ready to have wine back in my life again!

I know some people think these are so gross, but they were always my dad's favorite, so I grew up on them. So delicious!

Either this baby is bulking up or I'm just a pig.

I've posted a tiny bit in the past, but it's been awhile. I'm on mat leave with DS2, and DS1 is in kindergarten.
It's cold as hell here and like so many of you, we are feeling a bit stir crazy. I have a wicked case of post holidays blues
Gonna make a hot chocolate and Baileys tonight!
