pregnant and orders overseas

I have a question for all the military spouses. What happens when your husband gets orders overseas mid pregnancy? We just received our orders and I am currently 6 months pregnant. Do they allow an extension until the baby is born or am I expected to move mid pregnancy? Either way we will be fine... I'm just so new to the military lifestyle. TIA

Orders are orders; and as you will eventually discover the military gives zero shits about the families. The military does not care if you move while pregnant; they don't care if you move at all; they just expect the solider to.

I'll add another 'it depends' to that. The military isn't always completely heartless about it. My H is AF, and my doctor, who is at a MTF, doesn't want me to move after 32 weeks (would prefer us not to move before baby at all), so we either will have to move early or move late (my due date is just after the time we will probably PCS). H has a good command structure and an outstanding commander, so I'm hoping we can work this out.

I would assume you get no extension unless you have a health issue. Even then, they could send your DH and leave you until you can move. I would go to the military families board as well.
