I accidentally took Mucinex DM instead of the regular kind. Help?

Hi guys, a week ago I had a bad chest congestion. I called my doctor to ask about medicine I could take and she told me that I can take Mucinex. I ended up taking Mucinex DM instead of the regular Mucinex. When I looked it up it said that I should not take anything that has DM after it and that it was a class C drug, which means that they haven't done any studies to see if it's harmful to the fetus or not. I have been worried ever since I took it. Could I have hurt my baby?

I did and she said that I should be fine since I only took it once. I am just paranoid about every little thing since this is my first pregnancy. Thanks girls

I'd ask for an ultrasound. I took mucinex DM through my pregnancy and we found out at the growth scan that baby J has a tail and what appear to be vestigial wings instead of arms. The doctor thinks I might be giving birth to some kind of dinosaur. So not only do I have to give birth, I have to do it while sixteen different science publications watch, because they all want to interview me. On the plus side, the legal settlement with mucinex means I'll never have to work again.

My ute goggles are broken right now, or I would totally use them to check to see that your baby is ok for you. I guess you'll just have to trust the advice and experience of your doctor instead. Shitty deal, I know.

I've been taking a Class C medication my entire pregnancy because I don't have a gallbladder and the meds help with digestion. So far we've counted 31 fingers and toes! LO is going to be amazing at **jazz hands**!

If your doctor said it's fine and you only took it once- let it go. There's nothing you can do about it now.

I don't get it. It's not like you can go back in time and undo things. It's not like this is something that can be fixed (if it did cause issues). Just don't take it again and trust your doctor.

Since you just had it one time, I think you should be okay. Don't stress as there is nothing you can do now. If your doctor is not worried, i am sure it is fine.

I actually have legit taken a bunch of this shit during my pregnancy. I had a bad cold first tri and I've had another bad cold this trimester. It is literally the only thing I'm allowed to have that has helped me. If my baby really is a dinosaur, I'll totes sue for realsies.

Ugh, every time I cough I tweak my round ligaments brutally and then I roll around wanting to cry. I'm so ready to be done being sick, but it's that time of year and I work with little kids. They're always sick.
