Just got a call from my doctor...

I've debated on whether or not to put this on here but I enjoy you all so much and love all the support here so here it goes..

My doctor just called to tell me that at my anatomy scan they found two things abnormal with my precious little girl.

She didn't tell me what kind they were but she just said that she had a few cysts on her brain. She also said that while they didn't see anything structurally wrong with her heart she was skipping beats. She is sending me to a specialist in Little Rock for another ultrasound to possibly see if everything is ok. She told me not to worry but what mother wouldn't worry. I've googled things about this which I probably shouldn't have but I'm just asking if yall could please say a prayer for my sweet little girl I would really appreciate it

I hope everything is ok, if it makes you feel any better my heart has always skipped beats and it's never had any negative effect on my life.  I'm active and healthy so hopefully it'll be the same with your little girl! As for the cysts, no experience so I'll only say I'm sending t&p your way!

Thinking of you and your baby. If you search the posts there was a recent one about cysts on the baby's brain. My DD had one at 20 weeks and it went away on its own by 28 weeks. I am having twins and Twin A also has one on her brain. We will go back at 28 weeks to check on it. Hopefully this gives you some reassurance.

This same thing happened to me with my first daughter. I freaked!! By the time I made it to the specialist the cyst were gone! Come to find out this is very common in early ultrasounds between 18 to 24 weeks and alot of the time dissolve. Hope this puts you a little at ease knowing that it could be nothing. I know as moms we worry no mater what! Sending prayers your way.

So sorry! I too got the call that they saw Choroid Plexus cysts in the brain. The dr told me it's common and usually resolves itself. I'm going to a Level 2 ultrasound on the 14th. Then I assume I might need one more to make sure they resolve. But I'm not worrying (well, valiantly trying) at all. I hope you get good news!

You ladies hold a special place in my heart! I'm so glad I stumbled upon this community, it is full of such caring and self-less women. I truly appreciate your thoughts and prayers more than you all know. She told me that she would call me either this evening or Monday morning to let me know when she had scheduled me for the follow up (most likely Monday morning since their office hours are over now) so I will know then. Hello, I also have no experience with the heart issue but our baby too had cysts on his brain. My doctor isn't even concerned and said these will resolve themselves but I know how scary it is. Just wanted to send positive thoughts your way for your little one.

Sending positive thoughts to you and baby! My baby has the cysts and a bright spot in the heart. I'm trying not to worry, since my dr said they are both common. I have another scan at 28 weeks to see if they clear up (lots of times they do!). Fingers crossed for us both!
