I've lost about 10 lbs since having Logan in February, which isn't much, but I have gained a lot of muscle and strength, and I look much more tone, so I consider last year a huge success in the weight loss department. I do want to re-commit to going to the gym at least three times a week, since I've been slacking on that lately.
My resolutions are to reach my goal weight (175, about 15 lbs to go), get to the gym 3x a week, and to create (and stick to) a meal plan.
Can I jump back in too? It's been a long time since I participated. I was 5lbs away from pre-pregnancy weight. Then it was my birthday, then the holidays, and my business took off. I totally fell off the wagon, ate whatever I wanted, and too much. I also didn't exercise, and LO started weaning herself. I'm up 10lbs, which means I'm 15 away from my pre-pregnancy weight. Embarrassing! And we are going to Mexico next month, which means I have to put on a bathing suit. As of yesterday, I'm back on weight watchers, and I'm going to try to get to the gym 3 times a week. Thankfully H is also wanting to drop a few pounds, so hopefully that'll make it easier to stay on track.
Hi ladies! Still here, still plugging along! I said a few weeks ago that my goal during the holidays was just to maintain (not focusing on weight loss, but trying not to gain more, either) and I did it! So at least I just get to pick up where I left off.
My goal for 2015 is to average 5 pounds/month, so a total of 60 pounds spread out over the year. I realize that some months I'll probably do better than that (like January, when it's all fresh and new, and I always lose more the first few weeks anyway) verses other months where there will be more parties/bbqs/drinking, etc. I think if I can be more flexible in this way, I will be more successful.
I'm also signed up for my first half marathon this year, so obviously training for that will help. The half is on August 1, so I have lots of time. I'm excited about it, but super nervous at the same time.
To start off the year on a good foot, I'm going to give up eating all of the junk with tons of added sugar this month. No cookies, ice cream, candy, treats, blah, blah, blah. I mentioned yesterday in another thread that I need a sugar detox after the holidays, so that's where I'm starting.
Still here! Thanks to the flu I had a bit of redemption Christmas night. Weighed in today only half a pound up from 2 weeks ago. I think these last 8 pounds are going to be pesky and difficult though.
Success last year was loosing 3/4 baby weight. (60 pounds total gained).
My goal is to keep up with the eating plan I have, and get back to the gym 4 days a week. I struggle during the winter to drink enough water so it's tough! I'd rather have a Coke Zero.
Woohoo @avswolf!! Let's do this! We can keep each other accountable
So far, no sweets here today! I'm having tea right now while I wait for dinnertime. We are ordering pizza and I'm either ordering a salad or making one to have with it. We usually just have pizza when we have pizza, so I'm feeling good about it.
Hi ladies I'm back. I have reached my goal and I am still maintaining but I'm always here to cheer you all on. I am 10 pounds below my pre pregnancy weight. I comitted myself to eat healthy with my LO and be active with him. I still have fitness goals, I have no problem walking but as soon as I try to run I'm so winded, so my cardio is terrible. I would like to improve that in 2015 before getting pregnant again.
Thanks @ramfan05. I know you ladies can do this! It's not about dieting, it's about changing your lifestyle and enjoying the benefits without trying too hard. let yourself have a treat here and there. And don't feel discouraged if you have a bad week, never give up. Start each day by stretching, drinking water and smiling!
@dnmolakides I experienced something similar. I lost quite a bit of weight while BFing. I had over supply and as soon as my supply evened out I quit losing and gained some. Now that LO is weaning, I put weight on more easily. I'm chalking it up to all the crazy changes my body has experienced since pregnancy, BFing, and weaning.
@Jessasaurus2008, I've used resistance bands at home and like those. They usually come with a dvd with exercises. I also just have some hand weights. Right now I have 5 and 10 pound. You could start light and work your way up. We have a sporting goods consignment store near us called Play it Again Sports that's pretty good for things like that. Not sure if you have a place like that.

Can I join for a work out check in?
@rachaelmary You can definitely just do a workout checkin.
