Im so jealous by the amount of people who are planning to sleep when the ball drops. My DH is determined to drag me out of the house and go to a party.
NYE is actually my bday, normally we get a babysitter and go all out. This year we have dinner reservations and a friend of ours is having some people over so we'll probably just do that.
My plan is to get home from work, take a nap, then we're going over to our friends' house for a low key party. Probably some football and some Cards Against Humanity, and I might even splurge and have a glass of champagne! I figure we should take advantage of our last childless NYE and being able to sleep in the next morning.
No idea- possibly Cards Against Humanity or watching The Interview. There was also talk of making some kind of Dutch fried dough treats, hopefully that happens.
I didn't have any wine on Christmas because I was sick, so hopefully we have some champagne or something around here that I can indulge in a tiny bit.
I'm in NZ and there's no ball or anything exciting to watch on tv here. 2 years ago we were here for New Years as well and there was just a crummy counter in the corner of the tv with the regular programming on. Talk about a let down :-(
We planned on going to dinner and then watching the ball drop from home but, I've been incredibly sick so we cancelled our reservation and SO is going to cook me a nice meal and got lots of sparkling cider! I'm actually really looking forward to not being hungover on the 1st this year!! And I secretly really enjoy Ryan Seacrest and his New Years show.
Heading over to the in-laws, they promised me steak and lobster . After dinner, return to our home routine and put little girl to bed, then I will be prepping for New Year's Day lunch: shrimp and vegetable tempura and soba. Pretty much a chill night.
We are going to my H's cousins house. They live the next street over from us. We are close and hang out a lot. I'm happy because if I get tired I can just come home to bed and I don't have to worry about H. Oh and I made bacon dip. Yum o yum!
We always throw New Year's Eve parties. But we didn't this year and I'm totally bummed. My H's bday is New Years Day. So it's always fun to count down to midnight and say happy new year and Happy birthday with all our friends and family. His family came over for an early dinner but they're gone, baby boy is asleep and we were in pajamas at 9:30. H is totally fine with this, but I think it's lame. An hour to go, and he's already half asleep on me. I sound like a little whiney baby, but I want a party!!!!!
