Metatarsus Adductus

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question.

My DD (13m) has Metatarsus Adductus (mild to moderate) and had both feet cast on Christmas Eve. Just wondering if anybody had any experience with this for their LO. How long did it take for them to adjust? How long did your LO need the cast? Were there any additional adjustments needed after the cast such as shoes or braces? If your LO did not have casts, what was their form of treatment?

We were told it would resolve itself when we saw the specialist at 6m, but she is now past 1yr and walking and it hasn't, so therefore, the need for casts. However, she is having a really tough time with them and we are wondering if we made the right decision (a different specialist said to continue to wait and see until she is 5yr!), especially since one of the casts fell off today and we noticed a pretty bad pressure sore on her heel.

DS had it. He was diagnosed around 6 mo old. He had two casts and wore each for a week. He wore his orthopedic shoes while sleeping for around 6 mo I believe. He's a twin so his foot got stuck in a funny spot in utero. He walked around 15.5 mo, but I don't feel it was related to it. He's almost 9 now, and not had any other issues with his foot.
