Attention bakers!

What would you recommend a silicone mold or a metal mold. I want to get a giant cupcake mold and I'm not sure what would be best to use- silicone or metal? It's for Brooke's 1st bday and I want to get one now to practice making it perfect- or at least have it come out in one piece.

I would say metal. I think for the giant cupcake it'd be a pain getting it out of a silicone mold. I honestly haven't tried either so it's just a guess.

I have silicone bread pans.  It is very easy to get the bread out (they really are nonstick) but the sides bulge slightly when baking, since silicone is flexible.

Metal, I have used the silicone one and it's not the best!

For the metal I would say make sure you coat it well otherwise the cake will stick. But good on you for thinking about practicing so far ahead! I'm impressed!
