FTs on older LOs

My current stash is 90% BG. Right now, I have about half 4.0s and half FTs. But when I buy new diapers, I find that I keep buying FTs because they seem to work better for us right now. They seem to be more absorbent than the pockets (with one MF insert).

If I keep buying FTs, will I regret it once LO is older and needs more absorbency (he's 5mo)? (Since pockets are easier to add hemp doublets to, etc.)

Do any of you mamas with older LOs use FTs? Do you/can you still add doublers?

You can add doublers to FTs, but there's no way to know if they will always fit your LO.

They work fine on my 2yo. But she's not a heavy wetter at all. I am pretty sure they won't work on P when she is 2.

Mine is the same as TJ. Harper isn't a heavy wetter but Henry is...I'm sure I'll have to add something to his diapers when he is her age (she is 20 mos.). I've also noticed that the rise is a little short on Harper b/c she has a long torso.
