I posted this update earlier in a different thread - but I think it belongs more here.  So, I've just done a copy/paste with a few small edits.

My appointment with my MFM on Tuesday went really welly.  I got a full scan of both babies.  Baby A's heartbeat was 135 and Baby B was 152 - (the girl tends to be faster than the boy, so this was totally normal for our LOs).  Our MFM was very pleased with the amount of fluid that the U/S tech measured in both sacs.  (A still had less than B, but both were in normal range).

Since I have not had a noticeable fluid leak for 1 week 1 day, we're starting to think the tear may plugged itself.  So, instead of checking into the hospital on Thursday, as planned, I'm going to my MFM's office for another exam.  I believe he's going to try to confirm that the leak has stopped.  If it has, the next step will probably be continued at home bed rest, and steroids as an outpatient.  If I'm still leaking, I'll go straight to the hospital (I'm going to the appointment with a bag packed - just in case).

I'm a little nervous about being overly confident at this stage.  This is the longest I've gone without leaking, but only by 1 day, so, I still feel a bit like anything can happen.  It would be much more comfortable to continue bed rest at home, instead of going to the hospital, but there was a little bit of comfort in thinking that if something did happen, I would be in the right place for help. (Though, if I'm home, it will only be because the leaking has stopped - which is absolutely what I want to hear).  So, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.  

Both LO's have recently decided that moving around is there thing which I am really enjoying at this stage.  (I hear it can be less pleasant when they're bigger - but hey, then they'll be BIGGER which is what I really, really want).

On the less exciting side, I now have a yeast infection (sorry if this is TMI).  My OB and MFM didn't seem too worried about it, so I'm not going to be either. I'm treating it with a topical cream, and hopefully, it will be gone soon enough.

Wonderful update!  I just found out I have an infection too, ugh, didn't have any noticeable symptoms and I can't see down there with this huge belly lol.  Oh the joys of pregnancy   Keep baking babies!

@dp21 - Boo on the share woes.  I was reading about things I can do other than meds, and along one of the items listed was eat less sweets (apparently, that contributes to an environment that yeast like).  I'm in denial about that little tip right now.

@AMSHark Is it bad that I ate a bag of sour bite crawlers for breakfast :P  I guess that didn't help :P  I got two stockings filled of candy this year, dangerous to give a preggo lady!  My doc just told me to pick up monistat, so just using that.

Great news!!! Hope all goes well at the MFM. My two cents is treat the yeast with meds...any vaginal infection can contribute to rupture of membranes and chorio, which would be very bad in your case. If you did manage to plug up that leak, reduce the risk of anything else contributing to more weakening of those membranes. Keeping you in my prayers for your pregnancy to be looooong and healthy and for you to get big & uncomfortable!!!

Thank you @Ecarabeo217‌ - I am doing 7 days of a cream my MFM prescribed (I think it was clotrimazole - I will check when I go upstairs later).
I was just looking for additional things to do in hopes if having the best chances of clearing up the infection.

Sorry to hear about the YI. I had a few of those during pregnancy & they are so annoying! No one feels like smothering cream down there in this stage of the game, lol. Great update on the babies-YAY! I think it's a great idea to go to the appointment with your bags packed just in case. GL!

I don't have my MFM appointment until tomorrow. I'm feeling a little less optimistic today - I think I had a leaking episode yesterday (don't ask me how I don't know - it's very confusing to be leaking liquid - I can't decide if I'm in denial or paranoid).
I'm waiting for the appointment to confirm.

Seriously - that, and I noticed a dark growth that recently appeared on a mole on my arm yesterday. It's disturbing looking - I suspect it will need to be removed.

((hugs)) I can tell you I've woken up a few times seriously wondering if I'm leaking fluid or not. Between night sweats, increased discharge, and diminished bladder control, it can be a wet situation down there. FX that's all you had, too.

I may at least be able to put your mind to ease a bit about the mole - my dermatologist told me not to even bother coming in during pregnancy for any mole changes because hormones makes it all so wonky. Most of my moles have darkened and/or grown in some way since becoming pregnant - it drives DH nuts who is always on mole-alert (strong family history of skin cancer - I go for check-ups at least annually).

If you are really worried and can get it checked out, by all means. But I was told just to make a check-up a few months after pregnancy to see the "new baseline".

About the leak...I was in the grocery store today and thought I was peeing myself!! I ran to the bathroom and it was all discharge!! How that is normal I will never understand...but hopefully that's all you experienced!!

It's been sort of a crazy day. I woke up with the distinct feeling I was leaking this morning & yet, I wasn't terribly wet. (Could have been related to the yeast infection & the medicine I was using to treat it - or it could have been the leak).
I saw my MFM and had an u/s. Unfortunately, my MFM did not see the same nice pocket of fluid on baby A that we saw earlier in the week. Between that and a physical exam, it was determined that I'm still leaking. I checked into the hospital earlier today. I'll stay here for monitoring, and I'll start steroids on Wednesday. If I rebuild fluids, and have another long, leak-free period, I might get discharged back on home bed rest.

NICU staff should be coming by to talk to me today, but I get the feeling it's very busy here today. I had a roommate for a while , but she's been discharged. (I'm trying to see if I can switch to that bed now - because, even though I hate to be a pain in the butt, I also don't want to kick myself when someone else takes the window side. It feels more normal on the window side - plus the visitor's chair is a million times nicer & DH looked really uncomfortable as he shifted in his seat today - poor guy).

Hang in there @AMShark‌ Try to stay comfortable and positive!! At least now you'll have around the clock care IF anything happens! BTW def go for that window seat!!!

Well, poop! I'm sorry you lost fluid. Tons of T&Ps that the fluid replenishes!

As a nurse myself, DO NOT feel bad about asking to switch sides. Ask as soon as your nurse comes to see you. Things like that need to get ok'd through admitting so they know what beds are available, but I really don't see that being a problem for you. Just kill them with kindness and you'll do just fine . ((Hugs))

I got the bed by the window
Everyone here is really nice, and, while I'd rather be on my couch with my cats, it's not such a bad place to be.
I'll get Doppler checks, monitored for contractions every 12 hours, & I'll be across the hall from the OR and the NICU.
And, maybe I'll do well & get discharged home, but if not, that's ok too. I trust my MFM & the staff here - I feel like I'm in good hands.

I hope it's an uneventful stay at the hospital, however long you're there! With any luck, some fluids can build back up that sack, but even if you stay in the hospital, you've done SUCH a great job growing those babies! They're almost to viability!!!
