** update** This Week in PPROM

Hello, ladies.  For those of you who don't know, I started leaking amniotic fluid from one of the twins that I am carrying at 20w1d.  I posted about it in a thread that's grown pretty long now.  You can see it here.  It's gotten so long, I thought I'd put it to bed, and just start a new thread for today's update.

Things are going ok with me and the LOs.  I'm at 21w5d today, and still no signs of infection of early labor.  (Hooray!)  I had a leak last Monday, and a full leak-free week, until I woke up wet again this morning.  (boo).  My OB and MFM both warned me this could happen, and since it was clear, no blood, no foul smell, I am not panicking.  (Do you believe me? I believe me too, if I say it enough times, out loud).  I don't think it was an overly large amount, but I left a message at my OB's office this morning, just in case.  I'll follow up again soon, if I don't get a call back.

This board has been a true blessing for my mental health.  Thanks, ladies, for keeping this bed rest isolation lady, somewhat sane.

**** Update ****

I had a late appointment with the OB tonight.  Both babies are still viable - confirmed by two beating hearts.  He also did a quick scan to confirm that there is still fluid in both sacs - although he said there was a good deal more fluid in one than the other.  When I saw my MFM last week, both babies were head down. Today, both babies were breech - which is not a bad thing.  It shows that they have room to move, which is important, and one of the dangers of not having enough amniotic fluid.  

So, overall, it was a good appointment.  I'm glad I went in today, because as much as I was trying to be calm, this morning's leak had me worried.  I feel much better having seen my OB in person.

Great updates! Hopefully you can replenish some of that low fluid. Hyper-hydrate ;-) Seems like the best possible situation right now! I have everything crossed for an uneventful few weeks with no more leaks.

Yay for the moving babies! Definitely a positive sign since they need the movement to develop their little limbs and their lungs. That being said, amniotic fluid is mostly baby pee so as long as you're hydrating, they will keep producing. Which means more leaking. you're in my thoughts & prayers!!
