@BlueDot818 the pups had diet coke, I had a dark hot cocoa, DH had a frozen coffee. The pups had sandwiches. DH had a do it. The pups took donuts to go.
Well, we went to church today. The Sunday School kids had their program afterwards, and DD got to be the littlest angel. She did well, but insisted on 'walking' us right in front of all the kids. She got to see santa (again) and even 'talked' to him! AW picture:
@greenbunny79 that is ridiculous! I she, his family, his problem. Let him figure it out!
Since DH is at the hospital with his family today I had to take both kids to DS's friends birthday party during afternoon nap time. I dint know anyone except the birthday boy's parents, who of course are busy entertaining. So :-h everyone!
Oh my goodness, you guys. DS is sleeping over with grandma and grandpa because he's been asking to for weeks. It's kind of amazing right now! DH is playing with DD in the living room, we're watching Modern Family (not a cartoon!!) and I'm drinking wine and making a fancy dinner for after DD is asleep. I love to cook so much and don't remember the last time I got to make something like this! We're having roasted kale, rib-eye steak with compound butter, and lobster ravioli in brown butter. And lots of wine. Yum!
DH and I just got into a "discussion" about how NO WAY IN HELL can T forward face in his car seat. "But the manual says 20lbs can fwd face" was his argument, and also "just because you have read 3 things that say rear face until 2 years old" doesn't mean that is the best way.
The manual also says in all caps that they highly recommend keeping a child rear facing until they meet the height and weight limit for rear facing. 40lbs.
After my eyes bugged out of my head, which spun around 3 times, DH came back with, he wasn't saying we should do it, just that he meets the weight that Britax says can forward face.
I need a drink.
Ugh. Definitely a battle worth having @BlueDot818 I don't understand why people rush to turn babies forward facing even after being told it's safer. I'm glad your H let it go.

I agree with @iwubrory, definitely a battle worth fighting. Luckily, DH has never fought me on it and just agrees that if I say something is going to keep our kids safer, we do it. The person I've had to fight on it the most is my mom. She just doesn't get it. But car seat safety is definitely my hill to die on.
@tyrannosauruslex, what is CSFTL? My brother and his wife are having a baby in July and already ask me lots of questions about what we do/have done, and I'd love to have as much info to back me up if (when) they ask about turning the car seat.
MH is getting on my nerves today. This morning, while I was trying to shower, he was eating (and who knows what else), and basically let DD do whatever. Which meant she was in by me, trying to fling open the shower curtain, dig in the bathroom cabinets, and roll up in the towel she yanked off the bar that I was going to use.
We went to church, which was OK. We stayed for a meal after. I fed DD and myself while DH fed himself. I cleared the table after us, while he sat there. After that, we let her crawl around a bit, guess who was chasing her? Then she had to go up and be an angel, and I took her to talk to Santa.
We went to IL's, he went outside to help FIL split wood. I dealt with super overtired cranky baby. We get home, of course he has to stack wood. Then shower (shockingly, I kept her out of his way). Since then, he has layed on the floor while I started laundry, cooked dinner, and started packing stuff for tomorrow. He ate, and basically went back to laying on the floor. I washed dishes, cleaned the kitchen, and finally i told him to go get laundry. He is doing bath now, and i am hiding.
tl;dr I am annoyed today with DH's lack of help.
