1:05am and we are on the road!!!!

W is wide awake and yapping like a nut. Our brilliant plan of her sleeping peacefully through the drive is apparently not happening.

I napped for an hour. We're in Kentucky!! About an hour away from Cincinnati.

Mr pup just informed me of what he packed to snack on: bread, turkey, persimmons, clementines, muffins, peanut butter, and he's sad he forgot his cookies. He's been snacking since we left at 1.

He is also very concerned with where we are meeting $hell because he's hoping there's good pastries. Or coffee. Preferably both.

There's a reason I go to sleep before 2am on a regular basis. I'm so tired. Thankfully LO slept like a champ.

Safe travels @Codypup‌!

A woke up at 5:30 SOAKED up to his chest in pee. Changed him and he fell back to sleep until 7:30. So all in all a very good night. I will be venturing out to get larger diapers today. Little guy is growing like my amaryllis plant!

PS - thanks to all the botanist bumpies who were able to "name that plant" yesterday!

Yesterday was family drama day. We found out something that a family member did that is absolutely despicable, immoral, and twisted. It is sure to put a damper on all of our Christmas celebrations. That person may not be coming to Christmas day that we're hosting.

We tried to prepare for that by asking FIL to bring pie. He said he didn't bake, DH told him baking isn't necessary just go to the store. Then he said that would mean he'd have to go to the store. DH was pissed, and told him every other person who is coming is bringing something and therefore has to go to the store but FIL refused. This man never offers to bring anything to holidays but he shows up and eats plenty of food. I guess he thinks being the dad somehow means he shouldn't have to bring anything. This is major small potatoes compared to what the other family member has done but it's still so annoying.

I don't know if anyone remembers a couple of weeks ago when I posted about FIL falling off a ladder and breaking a vertebra in his back. Well, he's back in the hospital and has been admitted this time. The pain had become unbearable so he went back to the ER. They found out the damage was worse than they originally thought and he is going to be having surgery to remove the disc and replace it with a plate. We're all really worried about him because he is older and not in good health. DH is going to visit him today, but I'm not sure I want to take DS to see him in the hospital because I don't want him to be upset. Not sure what we're going to do about that, or if he'll even be out for Christmas. Any T&P for him would be appreciated.

LO is having his bath right now! Then I'll be playing fashion show with him.

I don't love how I look today because my middle layer shirt looks weird with my top layer shirt. I'm just warning you. I'm also not changing.

Absolute BS. She wants to know when she can drop off some of the stuff she's bringing for dinner on Christmas. My answer will be...when you come for dinner, on Christmas.

@ramfan05‌ T&Ps for your family.

DH and DS1 went out for some big boy bonding. LO just went down for a nap. I know I should clean up the house and wrap presents but my couch is so comfy.

I would like more information on this please. I've read references in the past to hiding trash bags, etc. But personally I would like more details and stories.

On Sundays here, nothing opens until noon. Some stores decided to over the holidays but not all of them.
