The grocery store was even busier than I imagined it would be.  I was super excited for dinner tonight, but then I forgot one of the main ingredients and I don't want to torture DH by making him go to the store for one thing.  Looks like I'll be improvising.

I was going to make posole.  I saw an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives where the restaurant made posole by adding roasted, crushed pobanos in the broth and I really wanted to try it.  So now we're having delicious soup, but it won't technically be posole.  I'm going to sub in some regular ol' corn and put some masa harina in the broth for the hominy flavor.

@Mapleme, tell me more about this DIY proof box you have.  I like to put mine in the oven with the light on when I'm trying to hurry it along.  Is it about the same?

Gotta love the duck face. Also, this is for my grandpa. SO got his name in the family name exchange. So, I made him this bourbon sampler booze lei and we got him a blu-ray/DVD player.

Hopefully this passes quickly.

E spiked a fever Sunday and Monday. She seems fine now, but who knows. C was a crab this morning, but no fever. I'm pretty sure his top two teeth are bothering him.

It's been over a month since I stopped breastfeeding C.  I still haven't gotten my first PP period.  

I think my body is running slow, because I had several days of mild cramping about a week ago.

When should I be concerned and call my OB?  

History: Before hormonal birth control I did have months that I didn't ovulate, months I was super light and short, and months that I was light and for longer periods.  On hormonal birth control I evened out and was regular.  Off hormonal birth control for a year, I actually stayed pretty regular.

@sarenu1‌ I think the rule of thumb is 60 days. But if you aren't TTC I wouldn't worry much, it just takes time to regulate.

Sometimes the hallmark store sells those guardian angel type trinkets. Not sure if that's your bag. ? You did describe yourself as the heathen. Lol. Some sort of keepsake might be good

I'm so happy we're done with gift wrapping. Our tree took a whole 10 minutes to put up. It's our traditional no ornament, 4ft tall, rainbow light, yoda tree.

Ours is pre-lit (sp?).  It takes about 30 minutes to put it together, make it look pretty, and plug it in.  Then maybe another hour to decorate.  It really depends on if I have a toddler "helping" me.

Guise, one of DH's students gave him fresh honey from their bees for Xmas. We didn't even know they had bees. I thought it was so cool. Now I feel like I should do something special with this fresh honey. Except I have no clue.
