TTM about ingrown hairs...maybe a little tmi

...In the nether region. I think I have one, but I've never had one look this ugly. TBH, I rarely ever get them so I'm not sure what I'm even looking for.

I usually get waxed down there & am due to go again in a few weeks. It doesnt help that I currently can't see down there without using a mirror. But its a small purplish bump on my skin (in the upper pubic area to side almost near my bikini line but not quite)and its a little tender to touch, but not overly painful. I cant see an actual hair or whitehead in it or anything so it just looks gross and confusing.

Does this sound like an ingrown hair? What do I do to fix it? My OB will be doing an exam today at my appt anyway so I plan to ask her, but figured I'd ask the wise souls of Parenting as well.

I either pop them or ignore them. Either way they generally don't last long.

Yep, so I asked my OB.during during appt today. She said its definitely an ingrown hair and to try exfoliating and warm compress, and to let her know if it gets bigger and doesnt go away on its own. Thanks ladies
