    My randoms keep coming:

DH shaved is face for me and I didn't have to go on a real shaving strike, score!

He is also looking trimmer as my belly protrudes. I hope this doesn't mean that I'm hogging all the food! =P~

What gives, my H is getting all fit as well! He's always feeding me, yet he is losing weight and looking all handsome and dapper. Wouldn't bother me if my butt wasn't protruding along with my belly ...
  • So, I had my 23 week ticker change yesterday. Baby is the size of a grapefruit, 10.5-11.8"... I've never seen a grapefruit that big. I guess the measurement is from head to toe if baby were stretched out straight, but the graphic shows a measurement line across the grapefruit for 10.5-11.8". Something is not quite matching up here.

Amen sister!! I've been saying this for weeks. Something doesn't match up.

I've felt this way since we got past the tiny, bite-sized fruits and veggies, but finally thought it's too ridiculous not to mention!

  • @souptin Our dogs have personalized stockings from Pottery Barn  (meant for real children), so you will get no judgment from me.  However, our cat has some stupid generic stocking with a snowman on it, we have no idea where it came from.  It's not even hanging up with the rest, just kind of sitting on the bookshelf.  Good thing we don't play favorites with our animals.

During church this morning, I almost ugly cried during O Come All Ye Faithful.  It was just so beautiful, we had a combined choir signing and a mini orchestra.  I get teary during most Christmas songs because I can't believe next year this time, I'll be singing them to my baby, but this morning was a little ridic.

I've been getting that way in church too! It hasn't been just one morning though, this week and last week whenever the choir sings Christmas songs I try so hard not to cry. I've never been a crier, these hormones are ridiculous sometimes.

My something random is that I really really miss Colorado this time of year. I love Florida when I get to go to the beach or springs especially in the summer, but around Thanksgiving and Christmas time I really miss the cold and snow. Although it hasn't been very cold and snowy this year as I've heard from family and friends out there!
  • I'm so glad we have a random thread today because I really wanted to post about my super crappy day without having to be an AW. Because today sucks. The RLP is back, I've had a ton of Braxton Hicks (yes, currently drinking water to try to calm them down), and LO's kicks which I normally love hurt. We're supposed to go to a Christmas party this evening but I'm also extremely tired so as much as I want to go, it's not happening. To top it off, I should be studying for exams but with all the other not great things today that just makes me sad. Can it just be Christmas? Okay, pity party over.

@tiffrnanny do not feel guilty about feeling overwhelmed because the fact is..it IS overwhelming!! Be sure to take care of yourself and your needs.  It's so good to know you're at least acknowledging your feelings about it. Talk to her therapist's and see if they know of any other parents out there who have kids with CP or other physical disability diagnosis. Many of my parents find it helpful to be able to talk to other families adjusting as well or families that have already been through an adjustment. Just always remember you ARE doing your best, even if you don't get those braces on her one day and then the next she actually wears them. It's OKAY!  Be easy on yourself.  Hugs.

Thank you for your input! Usually I can handle things ok but today was rough. She's still adjusting to the braces & kept crying that I was hurting her this morning and she just wanted me to hold her. It was breaking my heart! Just a difficult day but we'll stick with it and hopefully it'll get easier. :)
  • Dear diary -
Yesterday my husband's cousin and his wife invited us over to come see their 1-year-old son, who we have not seen since he was a month or so old. Upon arrival, we were told that the kid had been up coughing all night and had a terrible been fighting a terrible cold "for a couple of days." He proceeded to cough, snot and sneeze all over the place (as kids do) during our stay. (Yes, they already knew I am pregnant.)

Am I crazy to think that it was insanely rude of them not to give us a heads up about their kid being sick before we trekked out for a visit? I'm a pretty bad germaphobe, so perhaps my expectations are skewed here, but I really hope that as a parent I don't expose people (especially pregnant women!) to my kid's (inevitable) plagues without at least giving them fair warning and letting them decide if they want to risk exposure! I am going on my last pre-baby trip (Florida) in a week and will be beyond annoyed if I end up sick for it. [end venting]

So this one is not baby related but it is 1 am and I am fuming. My cousin moved in with us this summer to get on her feet. She is three years older than I am. I expected her to stay with us a month or two till she got on her feet here we are six months later. She is moving back home on Boxing Day because we told her she had to move out. Renting a room is expensive so she is moving back in with her dad down south so the whole thing was pointless.

Tonight she got home at midnight lost her key because she was so drunk her friend walked her to the door waking up the dogs me and ds.

Took me an hour to get ds back down to sleep. I could hear her in the kitchen so I went down to tell her to be quiet and go to bed only to find her sitting naked at my kitchen table with a huge wet spot in the middle of the floor. Obviously she pissed herself and stripped down.

I told her to clean it and she said it wasn't her. I obviously know it was as she is the only one downstairs. I left the room and when I came back she had gone to bed but left the huge as puddle of piss.

So here I am pregnant sick exhausted and cleaning up her drunk piss. WTF I so angry right now I don't know how I'm going to get any sleep.

    I bought a Xmas stocking.

    For my cat.

    Someone help me. :(

My dog had one before my DS came along. It's totally normal. Or so I like to tell myself. :-bd
All 3 of my dogs have stockings & also get a wrapped present. They do know how to open them. If you ask where "Santa" is one of my furry kids runs to the fireplace and barks at the stocking.

Haha! That's adorable!! The only reason we don't still have a stocking for my dog is because she chewed it up and we never replaced it. But she still gets a gift or two every year! And I'd love to teach her that Santa trick!! So cute!
I recently noticed that our dog has chewed the ornaments of the tree as there is a section completely bare. So glad I bought the cheap ones from Walmart.

  • Thanks ladies. I am still mad about it this morning and know she won't roll out of bed till like 4 this afternoon to talk to her about it. Hubby wants to kick her out now but her flight isn't till the 26th so I feel like I can't do that as much as I'd like to ;)
