I was trying to get out of going to my other BIL's house but DH is being pissy because I "never want to do anything." Really it's getting late and DD has a cough. I don't feel like being bothered. We've been out most of the day.
Drinking and wallowing. I asked DH to clean out a closet in the spare room, instead he went though the hall closet and dug out pictures of my family that are both very dear to my heart and very hurtful for me to see. He just wanted to move them, but the lack of compassion and seeing the pics set me off.
So wine now. Maybe a rum and coke when DS goes to bed. Breakfast with Santa in the morning... Probably gonna feel greaaaat
I was about to ask about a drinking thread! Both boys are sleeping and I'm trying to figure out when the next episode of parenthood comes on. It's been weeks since it's been on TV. This is the last season. Where are all the episodes? ::spoiler-ish::
I think it's this time of year. The house is different because if decorations, there is candy everywhere, the weather doesn't always work for outside time, and the adults are stressed.
I do love the holidays, but am kinda looking forward to life getting back to normal after.
Eating pizza. Pizza Hut got my order wrong. They're sending a replacement and told me to save the wrong pizza to trade. I'm not giving them the damn pizza just to throw away.
Is anyone making ornaments with their kids? If so, what kind are you making? I'm doing applesauce/ cinnamon ornaments with DS1 (2 years old) this weekend. We make them at our preschool, so that's how I got the idea. But, I want to do another kind and don't know what to make. Suggestions?
Applesauce/cinnamon? Never heard of it it before but very intrigued. We only did boring old salt dough and they are ALL yellow because dd#1 is obsessed with yellow.
I'll ask this here, since we are talking about kid crafts. Do you guys keep the preschool holiday cards/ crafts? I made something similar to this as a card this week with my kids and it's more work then past years. Is it going straight to the garbage?
I made it as a card. Missletoes on the front. Poem inside. They wrote "love (and their name) on the inside.
Be honest.
Pretty much anything with a hand or foot print I keep.
ETA: I would definitely keep the Mistletoes thing you posted!
DS is 1DAF

Finally drinking. DH is picking up BWW, then it's movie night. I've been irritated as shit today for no reason. I'm ready to drink it off.
I've never been to BWW, but there's one about 30 minutes from me. Is it worth the drive? I love wings, so I've always been intrigued. What do you get there?
Yes. Chili con queso is amazing! And i love the Asian zing wings
I'm playing a video game with my FI and he's yelling at me for bumping. My 3yo is finally asleep! But I'm sure my 3 month old will be up soon... Do you ever play with your H mischief?
Re: Come in and drink...or not.

I don't know if a glass of wine will help or hurt.

We went to see Santa today. Both kids did great. DS1 told Santa that our nutcracker eats crack.
K. I'm ready.
Is the game to drink every time you over think things?
I wouldn't might getting drunk quickly.
Eta: what she said ^
