My husband and I are debating whether Dawn meant to shoot Beth or not. He thinks she did it on purpose and I think it was a tense up reaction accidental pull of the trigger. What do you guys think???

Normally I'd be all over that, but it's a stretch in this instance. She was more or less useless and wasn't even remotely fleshed out until this season. She was a background character and that's ok. Not everyone is a principal. You can't accuse TWD of not having strong female characters. Look at Maggie, Sasha, and Carol. Even Lori was more interesting than Beth. I'm not saying that Emily Kinney isn't a good actress, just that the character was meant to be an immature teenager because she was, in fact, a teenager. Her death really wasn't that upsetting.
