XPost from A14: Feeding/Pumping Order Question

So since LO was about three weeks old, I have always pumped about 30 min after his first morning feed and get about 4-5 oz. Once he started daycare (1/2 day) I added an afternoon pump. I really rely on the morning pump because I need 10 oz for daycare and in the afternoon on a good day I might get 7 and many days only 5-6.

However, he has just started STTN for real...9-10 hr stretches and I am waking up terribly engorged. I think I had a plugged duct earlier this week because of this. So...the past three mornings I have gotten up before him and pumped out about 5 oz and stopped....and then fed he when he got up. He seems to be getting plenty. He also seems to spit up less then when he drinks from me so full.

So that long story was all to say...is there anything wrong w pumping first and then feeding? I feel like it is all positive but didn't know as a FTM if there is something I'm not thinking of. I know my supply would adjust if I waited it out, but as I mentioned above I rely on this extra milk.
