Pelvic pain?

Alright ladies...diagnose me. I have been having pretty uncomfortable pelvic pain the past couple of days. Not cramps but the kind of pain when you're pregnant and you feel the babies head putting pressure on your pelvis...if that makes sense.
So I have a couple of questions....can my pelvis still be shifting back to normal 5 months postpartum?!?
Has anyone experienced anything like this with an IUD. I got the mirena a couple months back and everything has been fine but something in the back of my head thinks it might be related. Thoughts?

  • I developed IC after the boys were born and it was very similar. Mine hit about 7 mos pp, but I later figured out it was because I started eating IC triggers when I weaned (DS1 couldn't handle chocolate or spicy foods and I'd been abstaining from artificial sweeteners and caffiene, which are all triggers). Sex is also a big trigger and we didn't really have sex while I was nursing, so it hit after weaning. For me, it felt very similar to the pelvic pressure pain. But, it was also extraordinarily painful at times (like curling into a ball and crying pain). I also had a hard time feeling when my bladder was full. I just couldn't tell because of the pain.

Any issues related to emptying your bladder? It is unlikely it is IC, but the bladder pain was so similar to your description. Could be another urinary issue. I'd definitely give your doc a call soon to see what's going on.
