I'm confused, how can a "remedy" be used to determine "gender"? Is this some kind of treatment to encourage the unborn child's identity within society?

Search the boards. And no. There is no way we can tell you the SEX of your baby. And at 11 weeks, the only way you can find out is through a genetic test, which requires a blood draw from your doctor.

There's a big chance this forum will be active for a lot of girls only nine month or so, since many of us have real lives. Here's the thing - and we've said it a million times before. If you want to be taken seriously and contribute regularly to this community, then read the newbies post at the top of this board, and lurk for even a few minutes, and read the posts that end up with the most replies. Those are the ones that will teach you the most about who "we" are as a community - educated, informative, hilarious, and caring.

We don't put up with repetitive questions, we hate when the wrong terminology is used, and we work with facts, not guesses or old wives tales. And, we aren't afraid or hesitant to tell you that. 

That's how this community works. If you don't like it, you don't have to stay - we aren't making you. There are tons of other pregnancy message boards that you and your friends can go on to ask ridiculous questions and get the answers you want to hear instead of the truth.
