Why does my kid hate Monday mornings?!?
Hee woke up screaming at 3:45, mh had to be up at 4am. The kid just fellback asleep at 5am. Now I am wide awake.
I am going to work this morning despite having absolutely no voice. We will see how this goes. Hopefully the volunteer comes in today so I don't have to worry about the phones.

We are having coughing wake ups here. The honey has reduced the coughing but not eliminated. So, even though he is asleep every cough wakes me.

Up and at 'em nice and early. Ugh this is a hard Monday. 15 more teaching days until Christmas break. Our elf (Alvin) came yesterday and brought our advent calendars. DS is so excited... It's going to be a long 25 days!

@beckyanddon‌ DS loves our elf. He came on Friday and every morning DS goes to find him as soon as he wakes up.

We are going to see Santa today. I hope I can get a cute picture!

I am so tired! I went to bed at 11, woke when DH came to bed at midnight, DD was up at 3:30, and DS at 6:30.

DH and LO got the stomach flu so I stayed home to take care of them, needless to say I barely slept last night, the weekend was crazy with those 2 and I spent like 6 hours cleaning on Saturday because I kind of reduced our maid's hours to zero until next year due to schedule issues...

Argh, this definitely will be a rough Monday. ( of course my kids slept all night and are still sleeping so I'll have to wake them up which I hate dOing. It's -11 this morning! !! Hugs and coffee for everyone on this cold morning.

Ugh, I POAS this morning with FMU and it was BFN...no second line. Scheduled to get period tomorrow. Why do I do this to myself...test early, I mean. A BFN today means I'm most likely not pg, I'd think.

@robynloureed -  oh no! But you've been working for this guy for years, right? He should know you don't shirk your duties. If you're sick, you're sick. Maybe next time LO gets sick he can give you paperwork to do at home? I'm not sure if that's possible, but during the week BF was OOT I had to come in later (DC only opens at a time I'm usually already at work) and still leave at the usual time. So I took work home with me to work on when Feli was asleep. I don't know how much paperwork your job usually entails...

@econmama - I am the world's biggest pansy when it comes to pain, so seeing you and other J13 ladies deal with chronic pain in such a routine/offhand/graceful way...wow. I hope you start feeling better soon!

Other than that, a general apology to all takers. I was lurking on another board this weekend and saw that baby dust is frowned upon because of loss mamas. I don't know if me sending sleepy baby dust to up all night toddlers is in the same category, but I didn't mean anything bad by it and will try to come up with a different phrase.

Yesterday DS2 drew a picture of himself in a rectangle rocket ship. Then drew his little sister in a smaller rocket ship and his big brother in the biggest rocket ship of all. Then he wrote his brother's name, without asking for help with the spelling. And then he wrote his own name, again without asking for help with the spelling. That's a total of ten letters. And for the first time ever all the letters were in a line rather than wherever he could fit them on the page. He's 3. Take that speech disorder, we're going to make it up in other areas!!!

My brother's married! . I'm finally feeling more awake after not sleeping well since I think the night before Thanksgiving. The wedding was so much fun. I ended-up going to the after party. D.d. fell asleep w/the music blasting inside the reception an hr.ish after her usual 9pm bedtime, we got back to the hotel@midnight, then d.h. took control and I went to the lobby.

I'm so overwhelmed by Christmas shopping this year. My list is out of control and DH is usually very little help. I've already done a ton of shopping, but I still have 12 more people to buy gifts for.

Anyone have good ideas of gifts to get an entire family? I want to get something really nice for the family that babysits DS. I'm getting mom and dad a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant, but need a family gift too. The children/teenager's ages are 3, 4, 10, 14, 15, 15, and 18!

Rosalind is both a Shakespeare character and a famous scientist. So, it's very nerdy but we're considering finding a boys name that ticks both those boxes.

So far I think Albert and Edmund are our favorites. I also like Alistair but I might have a hard time convincing DH. Walter is a cool name but one of my good friends has a Walter.

:-h Good morning ladies! I've been MIA for a few days because we were at my ILs. So happy to be back and I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! Crazy Monday for me though. Over the weekend, there was an electrical fire at my company, which destroyed 60% of the office. Lots of people left their laptops there since it was a holiday weekend, so many of my coworkers are without computers. Since I'm a remote employee, I'm trying to work on all the projects that my co-workers can't access.

@ramy3, those are great names! Connor is one of my top picks for a boy.

I'm sure there are like two more pages now. I just finished page two. @econmama, I'm sorry you're having a bad RA day. I hope you start feeling well soon. @maryannespier, yay for sleep! @altima80 I still have my fingers crossed for you. @queenbone, that's amazing! Eliza is a bit younger and she is just now learning just her name. Not even close to writing any letters not in her name so that's wonderful! Oh and not even her full name. Just her nickname of Eliza. Elizabeth is a long way off I'm sure. 

Speaking of Eliza, she was up a TON last night. At least three times and the last time I yelled at her because the first two times we kept telling her to go back to bed and she wouldn't. I snuggled with her, I got her a drink. The last straw was when her "back itched". I felt horrible for yelling at her. I saw her head go down and her sniffling trying to hold back the tears. So I felt awful and apologized and scratched her back and sent her back to bed. She stayed asleep past 8. Isaac woke up twice. Once because he was hungry and the other time because his diaper was super full and he needed a change or he was going to leak through it. 

Yesterday I was laid up all day because I was feeling crummy from this sinus crap that I have had for six weeks. Can it go away now please???? Still not feeling great and it took me two hours to get to work because of icy roads and accidents causing horrific traffic. It usually takes me 25 minutes to get to work. It was bumper to bumper the whole way and it took an hour to go two miles.

It's 73 degrees here today and it's supposed to snow tomorrow. /:)

We are attempting a short trip to the park. Not sure how much energy I'll have. Good news is the stomach bug I got seems to only last 24ish hours so hopefully I'll be feeling 100% by tomorrow.

@ramy123‌ I like those names. Malcolm reminded me that I really like Malachai with the nn Chai. I really love Graham and Knox. I have a negative association with Connor, but your kids are cute enough that if you did have a Connor, it would make me fall in love with that name. And I do really like Asa. That's my sister's nephew's name. His brother is Anders, and I love that combo.


And the one girl on my other board is a sonographer. The gender disappointment stories she tells makes me rage. It is one thing to have moments of sadness that you won't have a girl or a boy. But some people straight up are mad that the beautiful, healthy, growing child inside of them isn't the "right" sex. That's disgusting.

Also, bens therapist called. She was writing his one year eval and graduation papers. A year ago, he couldn't use his right hand to pick things up and bring them to his mouth. He couldn't cross his midline with his right hand. Yesterday, he was throwing a ball a good 20ft. With his right hand. I'm just floored and what our little kids have done in their short lifetime. :x
