I don't like to, I get heartburn/reflux and I'm painfully aware of the big baby growing in my belly. It's easier to squat if I need to sweep up/pick up/etc.
OP, I don't bend that often because it makes me have problems breathing. I try not to squat either because sometimes I can't get back up. Basically if I can't grab what I need off the floor with my toes it stays there, MH understands thank goodness.
I try not to. I usually end up dizzy and questioning whether I can get back up or not. I can't squat either because of my knee.... So when stuff falls on the floor, unless it's real important, it stays.....

I have a two year old. Bending over, sitting in the floor, etc. is pretty much required.
^This. I have a six-month old and I'm all over the place with her. I just have to be careful how I get there...definitely not as graceful as I was before!
Well, it's *good* for you (read: better for you) to squat. It does all kinds of good.
I guess. Thank you, Dr. Robert Bradley of the Bradley Method.
I try to avoid bending (and I do have a few kids around who can reach stuff for me). If I bend, I often "see stars" when I stand back up. Sometimes those darn kids are too slow, or I just get too frustrated, and I go on a cleaning binge. Bending is faster and I'll never be a star Bradley student.
It's not comfortable most of the time but if my 3.5 year old isn't feeling generous enough to help, I have to decide if it's something I really need. Then my next decision is whether or not I'll be able to stand back up if I squat or if I'd rather deal with the heartburn that comes with bending over.
@lorifromwi everytime you mention your kids age I go :-? And then I remember your intro.
Now I'm upset I can't look at post history on mobile. @lorifromwi are you the one who adopted a like 6 week old then found out you were pregnant?
We found out we were prego in June and got our three week old foster daughter in July! Only time will tell if we get to adopt this little ball of smiles and giggles!
Re: Do You Still Bend Over??
Why wouldn't you be able to bend over????
Unless you physically can't bend over what would be wrong with doing it???
