Tess and I are in a cab to the airport. I had to wake her up at 5:45. Apparently it's OK to wake Mommy up but deeply unforgivable to wake Tess up. With her bedhead and pissed off expression, she is cracking me up.

I am in training still today. Mh is supposed to start early. This means I have to leave the house by no later than 7:30am to drive to the other side of town to drop Alex off at dc. Drive back here and over to the next town for the training. Yet mh isn't even up yet. [-X He is also doing his first dc pick up. A) he will be in full uniform so that should be interesting b) he has only been to dc once to tour the place, so has no idea where to go. C) none of the teachers know him d) I really hope he remembers to actually pick him up. I am sure it will be fine but I just prefer to do these things myself.
Oh and I woke up to super cramps and a sore throat. Fun times.
I am listening to poor DD cough and wondering if we should stay home tomorrow instead of going to my aunt's. DD has a cold and cough, but as of yesterday, no fever. DS's cold is mostly gone and the doctor said the ear infection is not contagious. He felt much better yesterday so he is fine to go, it is just DD. I keep giving her juice hoping the vitamin C will help.
Oh hey giant poop! The best thing to do is obvi to stick your hands down your diaper and try to smear it on yor great grandmother's rug.
My DS went through a stage where he would smear poop. One night he pooped after he went to bed, this was when he was 2 and in a regular bed. He smeared poop all over his wall and closet door in his bedroom. He was also covered in poop and had to take another bath. Another time he smeared it on my coffee table. Fun times!
Funny preschool dance class story: So yesterday I was asking each of my 3-4 year olds during stretching time what their favorite Thanksgiving food was. Their responses ranged anywhere from the normal: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc. to the hilarious: Froot Loops, butter, Skittles.
I was trying so hard not to laugh. Kids are funny!
The last few days have been really eye opening about people I know who are actually racist. It's one thing to have a legit disagreement re: Ferguson. It's another to post a Ted Nugent rant about black thugs. Unfriend!
Yep. I really don't want to look at FB right now because people are really stupid!!

Apparently, my hiding spree from last week also hid all those of my FB friends who might have said something colossally ignorant re:Ferguson (I went to their pages and checked). Who knew?
@simone711 That's wonderful! P is still working on standing from squatting too so she's not alone. It's amazing how fast they pick up after those first steps!
Hello lovely ladies! I'm sorry for the sick babies and the sleepy mamas.. I can't complain...
I'm not doing anything special tomorrow as I will be arriving home at midnight so no thanksgiving for us this year.
I'm super busy, great meeting tomorrow, if everything goes as expected in my presentation then I will be having lots of work for the next 3 years and that is a good thing!

@simone711 yay for Claire! I'm so happy to hear that and also that you share her accomplishments with us us and lighten my day! LO took.also quite long to go from squat to standing and he pulls himself every time he can just because it's easier I guess so don't be too worried

Also -- I avoided the bump all day yesterday for same reason you all avoided facebook-- but was pleasantly surprised.
Peace and love to all for easy Thanksgiving travels and dinner prep. May you be graced with patience and forbearance to deal with relatives and the joy of little cuddly hugs.
DH decided to go to COSTCO to get the "last few things" I asked him to get. Now he's taking out all my turkey fixings in attempts to get 3 pounds of pineapple (I asked for breaskfast fruit for for tomorrow), a flat of yogurt (I asked for 3), 5 pounds of shrimp (I asked for 1), and a few other things into the fridge. This could get interesting...
ETA: I didn't even think to do Costco prevention because it's so early. Apparently he paid for the membership that gets him in early. @-)
Send those shrimp my way. I'll have a courier with dry ice pick them up from your place. Mmmhhh, shrimp with garlic lemon butter on artichoke-spinach salad =P~
@Byjove03 no, like leftover dust from the floor at Home Depot.
*hurk*
...she says, saucily sipping her hot chocolate and counting the hours until going home time. I have a sneaky suspicion I will be negative productive today.
Whoa, the snow is really coming down here! The cleaning ladies should arrive around 11:30-12. I told them we could reschedule and she said they'd reassess after their last job. I hope they reschedule! My SO is supposed to come pick Haddy, Hughston and I up before they get here to take us to my moms. I spend every Thanksgiving eve at my moms helping her prep. It only snows when a million other things are supposed to happen
O.m.g., Penelope's been doing that too. She'll also point to animals' butts and say it. I think I talk about butts too much. Yesterday she grabbed my phone and said " Dada butt" into it.

Yup, like the day I'm supposed to meet up w/my b.f.f. who lives in CA and who I haven't seen in almost a yr. and she won't be back next month/it may be another yr. before I get the chance
I haven't done anything gymnastic in years, since I had surgery on my hand. I have no interest of flipping around again, ever. I'm glad that part of my life is over
I think Haddy just had a little brain freeze from his apple sauce pouch. It was so cute and funny. I shouldn't have laughed at him but I couldn't help it. I wish I had gotten a picture!
Re: Dancing with the Spam
We are definitely on the sick train. Her cough keeps waking her (and me) up!

How are the rest of the sick babies doing?
Not sure???

@maryannespier Powdered non-dairy creamer may be a bigger sin than Maxwell House in my book. Glad there's a coffee shop close by.
@biggunsbo love the sibling togetherness.
