Re: when was your first sonogram and what did you think?

  • I think I wanna get my first sonogram earlier after reading all these posts! Maybe I'll see if I can get an appointment next week! (7wks)

  • My first appt is 12/1. I'll be 9w5d. I had some cramping early on so they did a blood draw. Apparently my numbers were "so reassuring that I didn't need to go in for the 48 hour comparison". So I'm happy to sit back and wait it out.

To answer the follow up question. My husband (at least with our first child) didn't start attending appts until closer to delivery. I'm ok with that. :).

  • Scheduled my 1st for Dec 4th. I think I will be around 6 weeks 5 days. I think we are just doing this one to figure out how far along I am. I think I have an idea but because this last cycle was wacky they want to make sure.

  • I had mine yesterday at 8 weeks! It was amazing! I was so nervous to go because I had no idea what to expect. It made me feel a lot better. I have another doctor's appointment next week and I hope to feel less nervous after that!

  • I have my first US on 7week 5days. We were so excited to hear our little Brownie heart. When we was doing the US Brownie was pushing up and down.

  • Just had mine last night at 6w5d! We got to see a heartbeat and I'm measuring a few days behind, but my midwife said she won't change my due date because it was so close.

It wasn't overwhelmingly emotional like I thought, but it was pretty incredible and made me feel like I was actually pregnant. I haven't felt much in the way of symptoms the first six weeks, so I was kind of ( irrationally, I know) feeling like I was just pulling the wool over everyone's eyes and it may not really be true. But it is!!
