Taking it too personal?

okay so my mom is a pain in the ass and very opinionated.. I am pregnant for the second time with a boy and the last time we talked she mention that the name we choose for this one should have a meaning since my first son's name is Julian and it doesn't have "A special meaning" but to me it obviously means the world! I love the name and so does my husband. In all I feel a little offended that she would say his name has no meaning..

Am I being too emotional?

Also although we consider ourselves To beleave in God we don't really feel the need to baptize or do a christening for our sons but she says that I have to because my sons should receive the Spirit of God and if I don't then they are open to unknown evil.. I was baptized and I like the idea but we don't really go to church and I don't believe that my sons will be open to unknown evils.. I feel it's more of a tradition and if we believe he is protected by God then he Is.

Again I know these are her opinions but she makes me feel bad about it

Your kid your choices. Your mom's opinions are hers and in the grand scheme of things aren't vital to you being an effective parent.
