I am 3 weeks out. I don't have sharp pains anymore, but I do feel sore. I am looking forward to when I get cleared to work out again, though.
My biggest challenge is usually energy. Getting her in the car seat, getting the stroller out, getting her in that....it makes going out difficult. By the time we go out I come home and am exhausted...and little miss who sleeps the entire time we are out is ready to play for a bit, or fusses every hour so taking a rejuvenating nap is impossible. Welcome to life as a mom I guess!
This week I am hoping to take DD out twice. It's so cold, though. We plan to go out Wednesday and probably over the weekend, because it is warmer those days.
How far out are you from your surgery? How are you feeling? 6 weeks - feeling good physically most of the time but still having emotional struggles.
What was your major challenge this past week? What was your major accomplishment? I've been dreading today... I have my 6 week appointment and I know he's going to clear me for sex. I'm just not ready to. I want to do it, but I feel so gross from this scar and always smelling like spoiled milk that I don't feel even the least bit sexy. I did manage to start getting in longer walks which I'm very happy with!
What do you hope to be able to achieve this next week? Either find a way to feel better about myself or talk to DH about how I feel about my PP body.
How far out are you from your surgery? How are you feeling?
4 and a half weeks out. Feeling ok except for the issues mentioned below.
What was your major challenge this past week? What was your major accomplishment?
Last week, I started feeling an increase in pain in my abdomen. It was mostly on my left side, a few inches above the incision and it got worse in the evenings. I could feel it especially when I would try to get up from sitting or out of bed. I called my doctor to ask about it and the nurse described my symptoms exactly and said that it meant I had been overdoing it. I hadn't been doing that much more, but had started going on longer walks with LO (2+ miles) and doing a little more around the house. I was a little frustrated by the setback, and the nurse mentioned that she had gotten the same pain for up to 9 months after her c-section if she had really overdone it.
Thanks to the cold here, I haven't even really wanted to walk much, so LO and I have been cuddling at home most days. My pain has been much better since then but I hate feeling stuck in the house all day.
What do you hope to be able to achieve this next week?
Slowly work back up to doing a little more and get back out for short walks when it gets a little warmer toward the end of the week.

How far out are you from your surgery? How are you feeling?
-5 weeks in now, still feeling some muscular pain/soreness.
What was your major challenge this past week? What was your major accomplishment?
Both a challenge and accomplishment in one would be taking care of my LO alone as my husband works overnights so it's all me. Most likely the reason why I am still sore, taking on too much alone.
What do you hope to be able to achieve this next week?
LO has her 1 months appointment next Monday, would love to bring her out and get some fresh air, but it's been so cold out, also hoping to wake up and feel no soreness!
How far out are you from your surgery? How are you feeling? I'm 6 weeks today. I still have an occasional tugging feeling and jeans rubbing against the scar doesn't feel great but otherwise good.
What was your major challenge this past week? What was your major accomplishment? It made me sad to try on my normal pretty pregnancy jeans. Also I'm still bleeding, not heavy but still have to use a pad. As far as accomplishments I was able to carry the car seat and baby without pain.
What do you hope to be able to achieve this next week? Start working out on the treadmill and maybe a video. That is if baby will nap long enough for me to do that. She seems to be awake most the day.
@irisheyes317 the same thing happened to me around 4.5 weeks. It started after I decided to take a longer walk. It seems to have subsided now at 6 weeks but I haven't really walked the last week due to weather.
I'm 4 weeks out and feel pretty good. I've had some pain around my incision site, but above my scars. I think I've been over doing it. 3 kids will do that.
This week I hope to clean out all my maternity clothes and clean out closets. I'm so excited to do laundry this week. Our machine has been broken for almost a week now.
I'm 3 weeks 2 days out. Feeling great as far as surgery goes! Only had minor tightness/discomfort at the beginning. Just looking forward to finding my stomach muscles! No major challenges....hope to find more energy as I've been spending my days with LO on the couch.
Anyone get the "dissolvable" staples??? How long did they take to dissolve??
@FamousEa Yeah....they are fairly new from what I read up on. They are internal....just never asked how long it took for them to dissolve. I can feel a few of them under my skin right at the incision....didn't know if anyone has had any experience with them.
Feeling really great in general. The only soreness I still have is just when I sneeze. It's so odd.. I guess I am still bracing myself?
Major accomplishment is that I worked out for the first time this week.
Major challenge was finishing said workout.
I hope to do a couple more jog/walks this week but lack of sleep is making that even harder. I also plan to do planks every day to build my core back up.
