Sitting at my GD test...I actually thought the drink was good. Tastes like gatorade lol. Nervous about this since my momma has gestational diabetes. Hope everyone has a good Tuesday!
Did you mean that your mom HAD GD or is your mom pregnant too?

Twins? You mean two babies? WOW!
Team PURPLE!!
We are excited to meet William Alexander and Harper Abigail in 2015!
@ckimberley14 is this like, a box mix? Or a recipe? I need in on these brownies.
Definitely a box mix. I think I've made from-scratch brownies maybe twice ever. I use raw coconut oil instead of vegetable oil.
These are the only brownies I will make. I always check to see if they are on sale.
Friendly reminder for the upcoming holidays - peppermint bark shrapnel goes great on top of brownies. Just add to the pan before baking. Sorry for those of you with GD...trust me the end result is orgasmic and you won't want to share.
Ooh great tip! And I already have a hard time sharing as it is--DH is lucky I let him have 2-3 brownies out of the whole batch.

I just want to lay in bed and be brought food. I'm not interested in getting up right now and I don't even know where DH is. I have my GD test tomorrow so I'm nervous about what I should be eating today even though I'd be very surprised if I failed.
I hope everyone is safe from crazy weather! No accidental sliding down the sidewalk on the snow @mrdcle fx for a quick and positive outcome at work! @willvilljill I agree with pp about eating habits and such. If you're that worried call your doc for some reassurance @ckimberley14 I buy the huge boxes of those from Costco. Yum!!

Does anyone know where I can buy one of those pans that makes EVERY brownie a corner piece?? I always steal those 4 first, and it drives DH crazy
Haha, those are my favorite pieces, too! I think there's a special pan insert you can get if I remember correctly...like a As Seen on TV product. My rule is, if I bake it, I get dibs on the corner pieces.
@ChickenOnSunday As soon as my morning calls are made... Let the internet search begin! I bought brownies a few weeks ago to make at Meijer and they didn't have the pan. I was REALLY disappointed
I had a brownie craving last week so I got a mix and made them. DH went to the store this week.. he bought two more packs. His response -- well, I figured I'd get them now, so I didnt have to go out in the cold or something to get them. We have already made one box. ;-)
Do any STM have the kt'tan? I am registering for one but wondering if I should get the regular or the breeze? The breeze seems to be not as hot but I also read its not as secure. I am in Chicago so heat isn't really an issue..

I have a regular one. I like it, I'm in WI so heat wasn't an issue here either.
I really only used it until DS was big enough for the Ergo.
So, I've mentioned this before, but I'm going to be losing my job at the end of March. I haven't been stressing too much about it before now, because I knew that even attempting to look before the beginning of next year would just be a waste of time. But now as I am getting closer to the end of the year, it's starting to stress me out. Part of me desperately wants to get a job lined up before the baby is born so I don't have to mess with looking when I have a newborn, but I doubt many companies will be interested in hiring a very pregnant woman only to have to wait a few months for her to start. Anyway, it's just been weighing on me. I know there's nothing any of you can do or say to make it better. I just wanted to get it off my chest.
You may now return to your regularly scheduled brownie discussion. PS--I don't like the end pieces, I like the soft gooey centers. If you'll be my friend, I will give you all the corner pieces.
Love tit for getting all your corner pieces, assuming we're friends. Sorry about the stress you're feeling about a new job. Hugs! And gooey soft brownie centers.
Does anyone know where I can buy one of those pans that makes EVERY brownie a corner piece?? I always steal those 4 first, and it drives DH crazy
Haha - my best friend is all about the corners and her fiance steals them all the time! I found her an all-corner pan at Target, I think? I know Bed Bath and Beyond sells them too :-)
And I so want brownies now! Chewy, fudgy, rich brownies.... =P~ unfortunately SS HATES chocolate cake/brownies (what the hell is wrong with this kid?!) so I'm making him a vanilla tort for his birthday, otherwise, I'd be making brownies!!
I found one at Bed Bath and Beyond for $20, and I'm sure I can find a coupon somewhere! Also, I HATED chocolate as a kid and my mom threatened to send me back. Now I'm still not the biggest chocolate fan, but I do enjoy it from time to time. There's hope! lol
DS woke up with a fever. Luckily MIL could take him today, so I don't have to call out to work. I have very few hours left and need them all for doctor appointments and such. I hate having a sick kid.
This past week Adeline has started showing signs of being uncomfortable in a dirty diaper - grabbing at it, getting her diaper basket when she's dirty, etc. I ordered a potty just to put out with not much expectation that she'll use it, but if I could have this kid potty trained by February my life would be SO MUCH easier. She's only 16 months now so I feel like this is really early but a Mom at her tumbling class this morning said her daughter started doing the same thing and was potty trained by the time she was 2!

Yay for taking a half day today but not having my first appt until 3!! So that means...I get a nap when I get home! I'm leaving in 10 minutes, going to eat my lunch and sleep until 2:30 when DH gets home.
F15 January Siggy Challenge: What I'm Looking Forward to After the Babies Arrive Bringing them both home...UPDATE...The girls are home!!! 1/7/15 after 20 days in the NICU!
Oh Dots why do you bug me so?! I just felt so awesome getting a 98% on one of 6 practice tests im taking and I decided to take a bump break and her comments on the boy name poll bugged me. It's the "...you see." part that did it. Like BAM "1 point: Dots! I'm so smart!" Thing

Ugh seriously, what's wrong with your SS?!! And who says you can't make a pan of brownies just for yourself?

Doesn't hurt to introduce the potty and try. I have had a few friends, with girls mostly, that are potty trained by 2. Just don't put to much pressure on her or yourself.
DS is 2yr, 5mo and his teachers at daycare want to try more steps to get him potty trained. I am not ready. LOL
Can we fast-forward to Thursday so I can drop a good OU of the corner brownie pieces are the WORST? (why would you chose burnt and crispy over soft and gooey?)
nbad311 haha to each their own, I suppose! The edges aren't burnt, I just like the more chewy texture over the soft middle. That's not to say I'm only eating the edges and ignoring the delicious middle
@racheltherose I have one from pampered chef and I love it.
Do you remember how much it was?
$20. I liked it better than the ones I could find in stores because each brownie had 4 corners, instead of the snake-looking insert that just gave all brownies some edges (if that makes sense at all). You can also make mini-meatloaves or mini-lasagnas in it. I also happen to love crispy corner noodles.
@Alygohome an everything bagel with cream cheese...and a hot chocolate since it below zero...and a peach juice for later. I managed to holdback on the chocolate dip!
Can someone smrt help me? I am sending my hubs resume to a place in town that does welding and other stuff. He is looking for an entry level job and doesn't care if its welding, powder coating, mechanical ect as he is adept in all types of stuff and looking for a new career. Since he doesn't care which position and there is a ton off different ones open, how do I word the cover letter? usually I write it for the specific position he is looking for (which has always been taxidermy or guiding which is easy for me)
Also, he only has 5 jobs his whole life, he worked construction for 10 years with a family company and started as a labourer and moved up to estimator. During this time he worked for two years at a taxidermy shop on the nights/weekends and after he left the taxidermy shop he opened his own business and worked nights/weekends. Then in 2011 when the business shut down he did taxidermy for himself full time for a few months and then went to work for someone else and shut down his own business. Other than that he has gone guiding but always while employed full time somewhere else. To me it looks weird with all the dates overlapping and I personally think I should take out the taxidermy shop he worked at for two years and his guiding? The only reason his guiding is relevant is because of the long hours (16 hour days) extreme physical nature and remote locations, which a lot of these jobs are looking for people who are ok with that...ugh..i dunno. My resumes are so much easier LOL.
@Oem617 - That's my plan exactly. I really didn't even think that we would be considering it this early but she is definitely interested in the potty and showing some signs of readiness so I figured it's worth a shot. I am going into it with 0 expectation of success for quite a while.
