Angel tree child- need help with sizes

we picked a child from the angel tree at work for christmas. its a girl, she is 8. they gave us the most confusing sizes and i was wondering if someone can help me out. this is what is listed:
shoes: 8 year old
shirt and pants: 10 yr old.
can anyone give me a good estimate of what size 8 and 10 year olds wear??

gift card is a good idea! i have tried to contact the organization. hopefully i will hear something back.
