Movie recs

H hates movies. We rarely watch them. He can't sit still to watch a whole one, and he is rolling his eyes through most of them anyways.
Anywho, we are committed to watching a movie tonight! ! So freaking excited. (It's the little things...)
Would you recommend something good for us? Something available through Netflix, Redbox or we can rent on DirectTV. No genre specifications, it just has to be really good! Old ones are fine too. I can count on one hand how many movies we have watched in the last 2 years.
Thanks sugar bitches!
:D

  • Hmm....I second Silver Linings Playbook. Or if sitting through a movie is hard, maybe try a series on Netflix?

Don't judge me. :)  We just watched Sex Tape and we thought it was hilarious.  It doesn't count as "really good," but it was entertaining.  :)

@TheLittleRedM‌ we usually watch different series that we DVR. I love movies, so tonight is for me :) I just don't want to pick something crappy. That would be a bummer. :-q

  • @KateJuly2013 I totally understand Lol What does he like in a TV series? That may be easier to figure out a good movie based on that.

My husband was crying from laughing so hard at that movie! We really enjoyed it, too.

  • @TheLittleRedM‌ Mmm...Mostly Reality Stuff. He loves Survivor. We like Parenthood. Top Chef.
As far as movies, he gets annoyed with the unrealistic parts. Ya know, nobody is that hot, nobody drives a car that fast, this stuff doesnt really happen in real life. He also doesn't like movies that try too hard to fool him or surprise him.

Hahaha, I really want to watch Malificent, but he would not be happy with that choice.

  • I second World War Z. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. But I'm glad I read the book afterwards bc it's better.

The book is SO GOOD right!? It's a much more realistic view of how it would all go down. I really liked it. Maybe I should read it again. Hmmm.

  • @byjove03 I just added that to MyList :)  I will probably save that for a bubblebath night though!  Thanks for the rec!

We may end up just catching up on the DVR tonight anyways.  Oh well.  There's always another time.

  • Bummer on no movie @KateJuly2013‌! At least you guys get to hang out together :)

  • We actually DID end up watching Silver Linings Playbook. It was pretty good. I expected better though, considering all the Oscar buzz that surrounded it.

I'm pretty sure that it was the last "real" book I've read.
