Wednesday Randoms: Brats and entitlement (random)

No real link to music or movie here ... but I'm just over the expat children running around like free range chickens in the compound. They don't show respect. Treat their maids (yes, everyone here has one ... mostly live in nannies if they have kids) like shit. I'm seeing the future of tomorrow grow up in a place with no rules and no control and hope that those kids learn that that won't fly as well when they go home and have a change of lifestyle.

Anyhow, hubby and I are in big agreement to try to avoid spoiled brat behavior.

@Chunkymonkeylvr‌ Oh, I saw my fair share in the US. This just is a whole new level, and like nothing I've ever seen. Everything is done for these kids, and the maids/nannies can't or don't say 'no'.

That's pretty funny about the little friend. Did you go the stores they demanded, or did you try to say it's not ok to demand? Pretty crazy their mom let's them get away with that ...

I found out the hard way last night I can no longer bend over at the middle. I never really thought about that.

I also roll out of bed now and use the kitty stairs to get into bed or my H has to help me.

Things I never thought about and amuse my H to no end.

I'm totally ordering myself a maternity coat today through Old Navy. I have some Super Cash so I'll get it for $30, can't beat that!

I just watched the annual Jimmy Kimmel video where parents tell their children that they ate all their Halloween candy. Maybe I'm totally naive, but a lot of the reactions were pretty horrifying. Crying is definitely justified, but cursing and throwing things all over the room in a rage? I'd be embarrassed to send that video in. Maybe my opinion will change when I have to deal with my first temper tantrums....? But really, I never would've dared to act like that as a child.

@RQuinlin‌ These are examples of what we did last year (but I think we had a 10$ budget). Bought the base sweaters at a thrift store for a few bucks each. Then, cheap christmas decorations adorn! This is a tacky version of tacky sweaters though. I'm sure that pinterest would have some awesome ideas!

I saw that YouTube too... Some of those kids were just awful?! Like two handled it well, and then the cussing?! Seriously?
I have a bad potty mouth, but have been working hard on getting a control of it. Except when I am at work because, patients drive me bonkers, and I need a release.
Anyway, I do not want my two year old spouting off curse words like its no big deal.

In other news, I have the day off. I had two horridly busy days at work. That being said, I am going to RCIA classes to join the Catholic Church every Tuesday night and without going into detail, I just always leave class feeling really good.
H has agreed to be my sponsor, and I am just so happy he is doing this for me. I have been to nervous to go to mass, because I felt like I don't fit in or understand it all, but h wants to go this Saturday night and help me through the ceremony.

I am fantasizing about going full Godzilla on my workplace and overturning tables and ripping apart documents and trampling coworkers. I sure hope it's the pregnancy hormones and not the fact that many of my coworkers are completely lazy, although I suspect it's a little of column A and a little of column B.

On a good note- I have an ultrasound appt with my specialist today so I get to see the LO again!

Yup, I photograph weddings/families, and am just APPALLED at the behaviour displayed by children these days. Some parents give NO discipline and have NO control over their children. To the point where these children are running wild at someone else's wedding and ruining moments for the bride and groom. Throwing things at the bride and groom during their first dance? Wailing and carrying on during the ceremony? Soo not cool.

Baby boy has been moving and grooving this morning and it feel sooo awesome!! This is the first time I have really felt something. Love this feeling.

I *think* I felt baby boy moving from the outside last night for the first time. I was laying in bed with my hands on my belly and I could feel him moving inside and unless my mind was playing tricks on me (very possible), I felt the movements on my hands too. It was pretty cool.

I tried to hoist myself up using my legs this morning (like, grabbing my legs and using them to pull myself forward) and promptly said nope and went back to rolling out of bed. SO actually reached over to push me out of bed, and then proceeded to tell me how amused he was by it. It's not going to get any better..

Honest question:
I've had a few people now say that they're really bothered by my Go-To Gif... personally, I love it, but I really don't want to upset or piss anyone here off... feedback on if I should change it to something else or leave it would be appreciated. The ladies here are amazing, and I don't want to be offending anyone just because the twerking Miley turkey makes me giggle endlessly.. Thoughts?

SO and I came to a decision last night.. we are most likely going to go to the JP and get married (legally) tomorrow, if my parents can overnight their original wedding bands to us. Then next summer, we will have an official wedding at his parents' place in the mountains in Colorado.

@Skrittens‌ I kinda know how you feel. My fiancé drives a Nissan Titan and it's not even lifted but it still pretty high and I can't get in it anymore without a struggle. I'm only 20 weeks and I'm having this much trouble already. He says he's going to find some little steps to put on my side, so I guess he kinda does love me haha

I have to share this WTF moment. I bought a new bike over the weekend and took it for a quick spin (we're talking three times around the block; 20 minutes top; barely any labored breathing). My neighbor/friend, who is two weeks behind me, stopped me and asked what I was thinking? Was I cleared by my OB to ride my bike, etc.? A few minutes later we were talking about back pain. She then suggested that I get DH to walk on my back. My immediate reaction was to laugh out loud. Apparently it's unsafe to ride my bike, but I should totally lie on my stomach and let my 200 lb. husband walk on my back? Um, not so much...

I think those people need to calm the hell down. There are several sigs on the board that I think are disgusting or disturbing, but aren't violating TOU or showing anything obscene. So I shut the hell up about it and come to terms that the world isn't entirely designed to please me. This is a funny topic considering we're discussing the consequences of people always getting thier way...

I think it's fine to do a wedding and then a renewal with a celebration later. It makes sense for a lot of people to do, and I think it's wonderful to have a celebration later involving family and friends to celebrate your marriage.

I just get weird when people call the renewal a "real" wedding; as if people who get married by a JP or at the court house didn't have a "real" wedding or aren't "really" married.

@chilibeansm0m I got a Peppermint Mocha in a red cup yesterday. It was wonderful. I haven't seen the gingerbread pop tarts but a friend told me there are pumpkin pie pop tarts out too? I need to find these.

I'm back at work today after staying home sick Monday and Tuesday. I'm still not that well, but I felt too guilty taking 3 days. It's hard on my partners. DD seems a little better today, so hopefully I'm right behind her.

Yesterday, while I was lying on the sofa watching HGTV all day, I felt LO kick from the outside for the first time. I hope DH can feel her soon!

I have a huge interview this afternoon for a promotion at my campus. It would actually put me at a satellite campus that's closer to my house, too, which would be really nice. I have to give a 5-7 min. presentation along with the typical interview questions, so I'm a little nervous about it. 

We got an official barking complaint about our dog last night from our town. I'm pretty upset by it, because we just bought a bark collar over the weekend. We have tried so many things to help with his barking, but he has really bad separation anxiety and he's a really big dog. I hate that we have to use a bark collar, but I feel we really had no choice, and I refuse to keep him locked in the house all day. But I called the mother fucker twice to talk about my options and what we've done to help with his barking and he hasn't called me back. So I'm recording all this down, in case they try to go to civil court about it.

I didn't mean it like that. We just weren't planning on getting married this way. However, I just looked it up online, and because we took the pre-marital class back in May (before baby was even a thought), and have received the "Twogether in Texas" certificate, we get to waive the 72-hour waiting period AND it's only $11 for the license. Looks like it was meant to be. Also, my mom is overnighting their original rings to us so we will have them tomorrow.

 I had a check up yesterday and got a lecture on weight. I guess I'm only up 13 lbs since 12 weeks total, but I went up 9 lbs since my 16 week appointment. She was giving me the side eye when I swore I wasn't eating a lot of Halloween candy. I wasn't dude. I just really like breakfast burritos. I'll pump the breaks on those. Sheesh.

@mandi195, my only request would be to make it smaller but I also don't like large signatures in general. I personally hate the GIF but in no way would expect you to change it! It's not obscene or a violation of TOU or anything.

How do I resize the gif to make it smaller? I'd love to do this with both of mine!
