@AshleySparkle720 omg... Must..have...chile relleno... Luckily I was instructed my my niñera on how to make real mexican food so my enchiladas and molé are amazing, I also make a sweet corn tamale cake (picture a crab cake) that is ridiculous... But some things take a real master. I'm headed over!
@irishcurls@ChickonSunday@WanderingA@dreemkin84 Thanks ladies!! I feel better about it now. I'll post a pic in spam tomorrow And I agree I'm sure a lot of costumes will be WAY more inappropriate!
@Alygohome - Your breakfast & snacks didn't have any protein and probably that's why you're hungry a lot. I got lectured by my OB just yesterday about that sort of food choices, and I thought all along I was eating well.
Yeah I was going to say this exact thing. No one, let alone a 5-6 month pregnant lady would be sated after your breakfast. I see you bought a Greek yogurt, which is great. You need to incorporate those types of things earlier in your day.
Yeah I guess I am always lacking on protein,I will try and eat greek yogurt in the morning, before I got pregnant I made a smoothie everyday with strawberries, greek yogurt and almond milk and chia seeds and I was never hungry before lunch. But my morning sickness makes it hard for me to eat certain things in the mornings and apples/oranges are the only food that never make me feel sick. I cant even look at a smoothie!. I wish I could stomach eggs because boiled eggs would probably be more filling too.
I wish I wasn't such a picky eater pregnant lady. I wonder if cream cheese or peanut butter on my apple would help...hmmm...

Absolutely!! And delicious....yum! I totally get certain foods being a major turnoff, don't force something that makes you feel sick. But try experimenting with other things too--cheese sticks, almonds, peanut butter crackers.

Great suggestions, thanks! I get into an eating habit and never think outside my little box on different things to try.
@Alygohome peanut butter is huge for me! I was never a breakfast person but when I started getting serious about being healthy I started with either whole grain toast or an English muffin with pb on it. Then that turned into that with a glass of milk and made a huge difference. I stayed full a lot longer. You can also make whole grain toast with pb and sliced apples or bananas and try and get a ton of different nutrients in!
I also do what I call Reese's oatmeal so plain oatmeal (made with almond milk) with pb and a few dark chocolate chips.. It feels really indulgent so it's less of a headache to eat it.
Happy Halloween everyone!!!!! It my little boys 6th birthday today. Time has gone by so fast. We are on our way right now to get a burger at mooyah for a special birthday dinner. Tomorrow we will be having his party a chuck e cheese. Wish me luck I hope everyone has a great rest of their day. Hopefully I can pop in later.

I was never a huge peanut butter person but I just found wild friends all natural peanut butter at the health food store a few weeks ago, you can get like cranberry peanut butter or honey sunflower butter or chocolate coconut peanut butter and its delish! I will maybe try it on English muffins, I bet it would be good. The oat meal sounds good! I might try it with the chocolate peanut butter..mmm.

Toss some nuts in your yoghurt or oatmeal could help too. Sad that you can't hold down eggs, in my first trimester hard boiled eggs were not appetitizing for me, but pan fried or scrambled were fine. Maybe weird to eat for breakfast, edamame is a good source of protein too, that could be a mid morning snack, should keep you satiated for a bit longer.
Anybody got any chocolate they can send to me real quick? M&Ms? Snickers? Reese Cup?

Girls pray for my husband. He has been an asshole since last night.
I asked him to empty the dishwasher because my lower back was soo sore. He didn't and he went to bed mad at me because I asked him if he forgot to empty the dishwasher.
Today, he lectured me about eating Halloween candy. "I hope you understand Im not going to get anymore tonight". I had three pieces. He can shove it.
Then, I am returning his call this evening. While it is ringing, Ella starts screwing around and as Im yelling at her to stop, he answers, then gets offended because he thinks Im yelling at him. I explain to him about Ella and he says "I understand you're having a rough day with Ella but I don't want to hear about it".
Wow. Really?? Guess I'll just keep MY parenting issues with OUR daughter to myself then? This kind of ridiculousness is not the man I married. And he needs to get the fuck over whatever is bothering him before I chuck something at his head.
@lizzybean ugh that sucks... Sometimes something crawls up FIs ass so I just avoid him and do whatever the hell I want to do in the mean time. If that's eating all of the Halloween candy. So be it. Good luck.
Ok thanks for validating my anger ladies. He just got home and is now arguing with me about leaving candy out when we go TOTing. My patience is wearing thin reeeeal fast. I just wanted to have a nice Halloween. I might suck it up just so we dont argue the whole time we TOT.

Met with RE 4/11.
2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do
"shared" program.
Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months.
Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

I've had probably about 30 Trick or treaters already. I didn't even realize there were that many children in this neighborhood. I put a bowl outside my door with my porch lights on because I really don't want my dog to be barking and feeling threatened all night long.
@lizzybean good for you for not exploding. DH would've gotten a huge earful from me if he acted that way.
@sugahcookie01 some people don't realize that since they are adults they can go buy their own candy... ugh
@krendel1990 that's exactly how I feel. I've gone through so much already! I can hear parents telling kids to take just one though so that's nice. I feel like sometimes kids will just take a handful at a time

So we've only had about 6-10 TOTers but my littlest neighbor swooped in and took a HUGE handful haha. DH was like, oh man where did all the candy go?? A cute little bumble bee took it, sir. She then asked why I have fake pumpkins. I said because I'm lazy and they don't rot! Mom just laughed.
K & I bought full sized candy bars to hand out to TOT's (because we get so few). I'm blowing off my friend's halloween party because I'm a terrible friend & don't feel like being around a bunch of drunk young 20 somethings who I don't know. Bring on the horror movies!
This is our first year in our house and had no idea we would get so many TOTers. DH had to go out for more candy...I already bought 6 bags! Cutest one so far was a little girl dressed as a granny. Worst was a teenager in literal lingerie. Not even a costume just lingerie.
That's when you enforce the 'one piece of candy per article of clothing you're wearing' rule. Oh, you're not wearing any clothes? NO CANDY FOR YOU GTFO
I shouldn't have looked on wild friends butter site because now I want to order the vanilla espresso peanut butter, and the honey pretzel and the maple, and all my favorites. My cart is at $60. That seems like a lot to spend on peanut butter *sigh*

This all sounds dangerously delicious....might have to check it out!

I can only attest to the fact that the chocolate coconut and the sesame cranberry is AMAZING. I hope the others aren't as good, I don't think I can handle choosing between 6-8 different flavors every day LOL.
@sugahcookie01@kkleigh10 interesting! I've always been a "hold out the bowl and let the kid pick" candy hander outer. Never thought about handing it to the kids myself. But I like that you get to reward the cute and polite ones that way.
I have about 6 pieces left... Started the night giving out two, but down to one a kid and I already have my "sorry, out of candy" note written and ready to put on the door.
In my neighborhood TOT stops at 9. Honestly, I haven't heard anyone walking around in almost an hour. Most of the kids who came up to my door were 4-10 I'd say. One lady tried to dump my whole bowl into her bag right when I walked outside to refill it. She put it down so quickly and I said "yeah you can leave" oops

I'm shocked at how many tot-ers are saying "I want to pick my own" and reaching for my bag. No! You get what I hand you! When I just smile and hand them candy some of them have actually said things like "oh man" or "ugh i already have so many xyz" And the parents just stand there and don't say shit.
Henry would be DONE tot-ing if he pulled that. And these are like 6-9 year olds.
Thankfully MOST have been polite and parents are encouraging manners but jeeze!
@sugahcookie01 - that is killing me tonight!! Just walked in after buying more candy and a huge group of kids came up, didn't look me in the eye or say trick or treat or anything, and sized up the candy bowl I was holding before I even opened the door. I handed them each a snickers, a peanut butter cup and a twix and they just went "ugh" and left.
WTF is wrong with kids??
UGH we encountered the douchiest group of boys tonight while we were TOTing. They ran up to a house after us and one of them screamed "gimme all your peanut butter cups!!!!" WTF?! If a kid did that to our house I would close the door in his face. Then, at another house, they almost ran Ella over to get to the door first. Little shits. Don't raise kids like that guys, m'kay?
THANK YOU GALS for all of the empathy for my douche canoe hubby.
He has chilled out a LOT. Thank goodness. We actually had a lovely time with Ella, spent almost two hours out, Ella loved every minute of it, and so did we!
I know he is stressed out with work and school, he works his ass off, maybe I expect too much of him around the house, but I really wish he wouldn't take his frustrations out on me. He is usually so amazing, and it is really hard for me to understand when he acts that way....

Our neighborhood kids have been incredibly polite. I have nothing to complain about.
