@sugahcookie01 isn't it Vday today? (I remember you tell me!) happy vday.
@psychobutthead I passed the second! thankfully. I bombed the first though, they told me you needed to be under 7 and I was 8.8 no idea what that means though, so I don't know what went wrong on the first one. Thanks for asking!
I have started receiving cards for flutter, I check on her a bit on facebook and she seems to be doing ok but I am sure this cards will make her day! I admire her strength and faith --My husband came home with all the mail and asked why I was so popular all the sudden, I had told him before but he forgot. I also told him to look around and make sure non of you serial killers were hiding by our box (haha) and he rolled his eyes. Obv I was jk.
So work is having snowcones for the kids and the staff are having a little luncheon deal in the lounge.
Of course they all bring awesome ass food that I shouldn't eat.

DH and I aren't doing anything for Halloween. We're going grocery shopping tonight and then just spending the night at home. Our neighborhood isn't really that big on trick or treating, so I won't even bother trying to pass out candy. Next Halloween at the very least I'll be dressing Roslin up, and maybe taking her to my parents house because they pass out candy every year.
@HailsMom I love your siggy pic for the challenge. My cats are actually scared of our rats.
I plan on having DH hand out the candy tonight while I sit fat and happy on the couch, in my stretchy pants, surrounded in candy wrappers watching ABC family Halloween movies....super excited for that.
Also, found out that my uterus is measuring two weeks ahead of my due date. I know this isn't a big deal at all, but I can't help but let my mind wonder how big this little guy is (or isn't).
The boss has a speaking engagement this weekend so she is finally going through the 8 hours of powerpoints I created a month ago and I'll need to make adjustments.
I took the dogs to get baths this morning since we have company coming this weekend for the shower, only to find out that the new groomer doesn't work on Fridays!
I need to get my nails done and the hostess gifts picked up.
Then off to the BIL's house for trick or treaters tonight and to get my hair highlighted and eyebrows waxed. BIL's girlfriend is a stylist and does our hair in her kitchen for free. SO SPOILED.
Then baby shower tomorrow and funeral Sunday. Sheesh!!!!!
Have a good weekend ladies. Be back Monday!

Twins? You mean two babies? WOW!
Team PURPLE!!
We are excited to meet William Alexander and Harper Abigail in 2015!
My coworker has nearly convinced me of his "Reece's or Bust" theory.....we have Crunch bars, butterfingers and baby ruths. .....but left over Reece's would be SO much nicer....
My kids are super excited for tonight. DS has no school today, and had his Halloween party at school yesterday. I pulled off the class party by myself yesterday! The kids had a good time, but every time I do a class party, and have to manage 26 third graders, I start thinking of a really nice Christmas gift for his teacher!!! 2 crafts and Pumpkin Bingo later, I was tired!!!
Also we finally decided on a boy name and a girl name for our LO. The boy name we had from when we were expecting DD, but we struggled with a girl name. So I am so relieved to have names selected, for when we meet LO!
Our family is growing by two feet and we couldn't be happier!
@jaztastic I hope you feel better. The hormones suck so badly.
Gotta love Kelsey Seybold. They called me today to say there was a mistake with my appointments for the diabetic classes I need to take and that they don't know why i was scheduled to go to those in like 2 weeks.
I told her because as soon as the nurse told me my results she transferred me to the appointment making department and they are the ones that said I only could do it for those days. Ugh its always something with Kelsey Seybold. At least they called me though and was like hey this isn't correct we need to see you sooner.

Kind of just posting & running! Today is absolutely insane at work! Between the rain, halloween, drop in temperature, and the formula one races....we are really busy! I got to work at 4:30 am & and am now just taking my lunch at 11:00 am when I leave at 12:30! At least the back end of my shift will FLY BY. I'm in really good spirits, though! I dressed up as a ballerina & I'm handing out candy to all the cute kids. Looking forward to scary movies & cuddles later. All of you have a happy/safe halloween! I'm sure I'll pop in later.
Trick or treat in our neighborhood was last night. We only got like 5 kids though, because our house is towards the outskirts of the neighborhood and most people work their way in. DH was home for most of them and he got to talk to some of our direct neighbors and tell them our news. (We seriously never see our neighbors.) The couple across the street had a baby last year (we knew this), but what's funny is that he found out their due date was the exact same as ours!
@kkleigh10 - That sucks and I would consider
changing your payment arrangement with those clients that do it often,
or possibly for the whole business. Perhaps they pay up front for "x"
number of visits/walks? I'm sure you have thought about that but it
just doesn't seem fair to me that you're getting screwed over by them.
We're having a lazy pajama day here. It's freezing outside and I just want to lay around, maybe bake something, and drink hot chocolate I also found a mini-bottle of Kahlua last night so I think a littttttle bit of that's going into some hot chocolate tonight while I hand out candy!

I just had to call a parent to set up a meeting for next week, and she had a ring-back tone. I mean, it was Vivaldi's Four Seasons (spring to be exact), which was nice and all, but do people really still use ring-back tones?
@nomnomasaur0426 - before becoming a SAHM a year ago I think about 1 in 4 parents I called had ringbacks.. mostly unintelligible, noise though. The worst is when their voicemail was some random song that they recorded by holding the phone up to the speaker. I would have LOVED to have Vivaldi. *shrug* that's delco for ya. :-??
Tonight is the neighborhood potluck and cul-de-sac party. I have no idea what to bring. I'm more than slightly annoyed that the organizer put on the information flyer to bring "nice" food because we don't need 50 bags of chips. I then put something on our neighborhood FB page asking what everyone is bringing and the organizer said - "bring whatever you want but make sure it is tasty."
I might have DH run to Bojangles and grab some chicken because I don't even want to deal with going to the grocery store to buy something to cook.
Lemme guess... the organizer is a "super pinterest mom of the century type." I think her reaction to you trying to just see what others are bring is weird. I would want to know just to make sure there aren't like 20 different buffalo chicken dips.
So, I just got a notice in the mail yesterday evening that I may no longer be eligible for Medicaid, which is bull because I'm pregnant, WHICH IS WHY I AM ELIGIBLE! And it says I have 10 days from the date of the notice, October 23rd, to get them proof. I called the customer service line just to be told that they are closed today, wtf?! Since when does shit close on Halloween? I have until Monday to get my proof in before my coverage lapses. My luck just keeps getting worse.......
Potty training started today. She has been doing pretty good so far!
I have been keeping DH up to date via skype chat. I told him she had an accident and he messages back "like are we wrecking the floors here, or is this outside?"
Thanks for the support douchey mc-douche. A little pee never wrecked a carpet. UGH he is really exasperating sometimes.
O.M.G. I am the happiest pregnant lady in all the land!!
I have been dying since I moved to the Midwest for real mexican food. Everyone has recommendations but this snooty SoCal girl can't take it seriously anymore. I've had more waiters with European/Slavic accents than mexican ones and I'm a snob. I want dirty mexican food. I don't want to know how it's made. I want that little bit of fear that comes with real back street food.
Today through the cold and rain a beautiful mexican angel came in (who I have spoken to once before about this dilemma) and gave me a card and told me a location of an authentic michoacan style mexican food truck. I left at lunch and drove 3 blocks!!! And... were my eyes deceiving me?! I approached. We exchanged pleasantries and I told her to put anything she wanted into a left over box I didn't even care.
A assortment of 6 beautifully messy REAL tacos (Midwesterners.. Tacos are not some El Paso crunchy shell.. They are soft warm corn tortillas meant to be sprinkled with wedges of lime and love!). So amazing.
I just... I am so happy. I will continue to sip on my Horchata and smile a smile of blissful fullness.
@ChickenOnSunday -but it's not Sunday yet, you're having chicken on Friday too!
It's 10am and I'm still in bed. I'm such a lazy a-hole today. Maybe I'll go swim in a bit and pick up some candy for kiddies tonight. It's raining hard here in WA, there won't be many kids about. More candy for me.
@kkleigh10 People can be jerks. I remember when I had music lessons, payment was due at the beginning of the month and if students didn't pay, they didn't have a lesson. Maybe that way you'd be the one canceling on them for nonpayment.

It is actually my neighbor and her husband who are organizing. Apparently, she and another woman in the neighborhood were complaining about how they always put time and effort into the items they bring and everyone else brings chips. I think we have a great variety of food at our neighborhood parties. Also, the late night drinkers need the chips for their snacking around the bonfire.
I usually cook something but I've had zero time or desire. I'm also pissed we are doing the party on the same night as Halloween. I think it should be tomorrow night when we don't have a ton of outsiders roaming the streets. It is going to be dangerous for the neighborhood kids playing (post TOTing) to have all of the extra car and foot traffic.
You've had a ton on your plate this week, I cannot blame ya for buying something rather than cooking. And I definitely can understand your logic of thinking tomorrow night would be better. Some random trick or treater is going to walk off with fried chicken as their goody. Of course not to mention the safety of it all.
@erobbins09 SoCal mexi food can't be beat! I would email you some carnitas, mango salsa, and fresh guac if I could!
Vent: in-laws have an older lab puppy. They don't discipline it half as much as they should. Dog kept trying to jump and play on me (she's about 75lbs) and I had to wrestle her to the ground which she thinks is more of a game. SIL didn't get up at all to help me (just called to the niece in the other room to come get the dog) and I ended of having BH for 3 hours afterwards. :-w If this is what I have to worry about, I'm not taking DS over to visit until they get their dog under control. End rant.
I am so incredibly hungry today I could almost puke with my hunger.
I had an apple, orange, dried mango & prunes for breakfast, then a V8 and a whole green pepper and half a cucumber for a snack, and for lunch (even though its only 11am I couldn't wait) I had a salmon sandwich with lots of cheese. I am still so hungry I could cry. I am trying soo sooo hard to eat healthy and all I want is banana bread. And lots of it, smothered in butter. I brought a kale salad with seeds, and a greek yogurt for my afternoon snack and I might have to eat it now and go buy something for my afternoon snack. I am not used to this level of hunger, its consuming me.
She fell asleep at 10:30 and it is 1:28! Of course I haven't gotten jack shit done in this time period because I keep expecting her to wake up any minute but I am sooo up to date on Facebook and TB!
F15 Siggy Challenge: What You're Looking Forward to Most After Baby Arrives: BELLY SLEEPING!
@erobbins09 when I'm home in Minnesota I have friends that will BEG me to make real true Mexican food. There's nothing like steaming corn husks, homemade tortillas, pico de gallo fresh from the garden, and sauces that have been simmering for 12 hours. I also get my beef from a local farm so I know it's humanely treated. (Yeah yeah I know lol) Anyways, if you're ever up this way I'll feed you Chile rellenos, tamales, enchiladas, or whatever your little heart desires.

Halloween question: I have a legit belly dancing outfit so I was going to go as a pregnant belly dancer to our party tonight. Tried it on last night my sister thinks its awesome. My mom said it was "gross" and inappropriate.
Thoughts? Bare the belly? Don't bare it? Wear a nude tank?
I've been up since 1:30 and I really could use a nap. Unfortunately, DS disagrees and despite the fact that he was struggling to stay awake on the drive home from his Halloween party, he is in his crib kicking the walls and singing. We have to leave in 50 minutes to bring a friend to the airport, so I know there will be no sleep for mommy. I'm praying he sleeps in the car, otherwise TOTing and passing out candy will be pure hell.
F15 December Siggy Challenge: Holiday Decoration Fails
@Alygohome - Your breakfast & snacks didn't have any protein and probably that's why you're hungry a lot. I got lectured by my OB just yesterday about that sort of food choices, and I thought all along I was eating well.

I can be absolutely certain that your bare bump will NOT be the most "inappropriate" thing at the party. Have fun!!!

Yeah I was going to say this exact thing. No one, let alone a 5-6 month pregnant lady would be sated after your breakfast. I see you bought a Greek yogurt, which is great. You need to incorporate those types of things earlier in your day.
