If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle below.  Please include what cycle number this is for you, where you are in the process, when you expect to start stims, and when you're planning on retrieval and transfer.  Also, please update us along the way!

AFM, I will start vivelle patches tomorrow and my guests are arriving this weekend for a long stay at my home, the timing couldn't be worse, but I couldn’t say no..

QOTD: I don’t have plans for Halloween as my guest are coming but my dog is already in the mood for Halloween lol.

I'm still plugging along on my lupron and estrace. Sunday I get to add PIO, medrol and baby aspirin to the mix.

QOD- we are packing up my three stepdaughters and driving to North Carolina to go to a wedding. I'm a Florida girl so I'm very excited to see fall and have a little cool weather.

cokiebear, that's annoying.. for me, I usually have to wait 30minutes at least.. and if I don't arrive till 7am I will probably have to wait 1hour..

I started stims last night after dropping DH of at the airport. He'll be back early November 9th which is when I expect the ER to be. Hopefully the timing works out because the fee to change a flight is expensive.

QOTD: I started working on a new crochet project last night for my cousin, a very pretty shrug. She wants three of them in various colors, so I'll be working on that this weekend. I live in an apartment so no trick or treaters.

I had an U/S on Monday but my Doctor rec. a few more days of estrace. I go for another round of BW and U/S tomorrow. Then fingers crossed we can start the progesterone and have the transfer next week. 

Halloween - handing out candy and trying not to eat too much of it...

AFM: My u/s went well yesterday. Everything is on track. They look for a lining of 7 or greater and I was measuring 11. My nurse actually called my lining "fluffy" -- not entirely sure how I feel about that word choice... ;-) So I start PIO tomorrow and my ET is scheduled for 11am next Wednesday. Woohoo! Let's get this show on the road.

QOTD: No real plans for Halloween. I'll hand out candy at the door and try to keep the cats from dashing out and that's about it.

Hi ladies- hope everyone is doing well.

AFM: US Tuesday went great...so I start injects in the morning!!!  eeeeeekkkkkk!  so nervous...I am waking up early so I can go over to my nurse sister's house so she can watch me mix it up and do it...I can't believe it is go time!

I also have my first acupuncture appt. on Tuesday.

QOTW: going out to dinner with my parents for my bday (it was Tuesday)...I normally love handing out candy but we literally had ZERO kids come by last year...I live in a tiny gated neighborhood so we don't get much halloween love.

So slight panic going on.... Was flying home today from Paris but TAP Portugal just started a crew airline strike so my connecting flight got cancelled, stuck in Portugal for the night. I normally wouldn't care but my baseline u/s and bw were scheduled for tomorrow AM. I'm having a friend call to reschedule it for Sat AM, was supposed to be starting stims Sat PM. Will it be ok for my baseline to be a day late? In my mind I think it's ok but would love some input from you ladies as this is my first IVF. TIA!

@stace2524 - Sorry you are stuck in Portugal. Does your RE work on Saturday? My only concern is how will the RE or his nurse instruct you on what to do before your stims.  I would call their office and see what they can do.

AFM - Still plugging along with Lupron. Starting estrace and vivelle patches on Sunday. I have been sick since yesterday and feel miserable. I am debating on taking antibiotics to help me get over this crap (sore throat and stuffy head). My RE does not allow any other meds the two weeks before the transfer.  At this point it is supposed to be November 19. which does not leave me much time to get over this stuff. 

QOTD - We are supposed to go to a friend's Halloween party, but at this rate I may be sleeping all weekend.  I also have to work a few hours on Saturday.

cwoodward777? That's awful to feel bad and not allowed to take the meds to get better. Have you tried to talk to your nurse, maybe there is something they can recommend to make you feel better? Last month I was miserable too and I took Mucinex, it helped a lot.. I really hope you get better soon!!!

Another post and run, sorry!! It sounds like there is a lot going on around here right now, good luck ladies!

I got my follow up blood work results yesterday and it looks like the pred is working well on my NKa and cytokines.  The only thing that came back abnormal was my white blood count.  It was slightly elevated during my initial blood work (11.9 when normal is under 10.8 ).  It jumped to 16.3 with this blood work.  Hopefully the increase is just from the pred.

Right now we are sticking to our original RI plan (10mg of pred, baby aspirin, lovenox, and IVIG).  I go in for my follow up doppler u/s to check blood flow and to have my first IVIG infusion a week from tomorrow!  I start stims on Monday and start my local monitoring a week from Monday.

QOTD: I'm not sure what we are doing for Halloween.  We usually have about 5 trick or treaters (2 of which are my nephews).  I will probably work the rest of the weekend.

AFM I finally ordered my meds and they will be here tomorrow! I feel like I'm receiving a very expensive early Christmas present! lol AF should be arriving tomorrow or Saturday so the stims should begin soon! It seems like it has taken forever to get to this point. Hopefully the next few days go by quick. I just want to poke my self already!! Lol

QOTD: I will be working for Halloween. I work midnights and leave around 6 to head to work. I usually work every Halloween so those with kids can have it off. Let's hope next year I'll be staying home with my own baby

I have my baseline tomorrow.  I picked up my gonal-f yesterday and am waiting for mini-dose HCG to come in the mail tomorrow.  If everything looks good at the baseline I will start stimming on Saturday.  I'm excited to get started.

QOTW:  We are just handing out candy.  I'm not sure how many trick or treaters we will have since we moved since last Halloween.

@Mariana81 Thank you! I will. :-D Also, I can’t believe you’re having guests!! I’m already stressing about spending just a few hours with the ILs on Thanksgiving near beta. Good luck! I hope they are laid back.

@cokiebear My clinic only had 1 ultrasound machine per clinic location (WTF?) so they hustle you in and out of that room, but there can be quite a wait in the waiting room at times. 10 small follicles sounds good!!

@blueeyes233 I hope your husband makes it back! That sounds stressful.

I’m sorry @stace2524 I’d say as long as your clinic is willing to be flexible, it shouldn’t have much, if any, impact on your cycle.

@cwoodward777 I’m sorry you’re feeling bad. :-( That’s a tough call on the meds. You might be able to finish a z-pak in time!

My baseline is tomorrow and I start stims the next day!!!!! I am so excited (and scared) that we are finally starting! (I'm not good with breaks.)

We have a very busy weekend planned! My son has an orchestra concert tonight, we are taking my son and step-son trick-or-treating on Halloween and then we have eye doctor appointments and my son's birthday party on Saturday. His birthday isn't actually for a week (he'll be 12!), but he will be with his dad that weekend and the following weekend was pushing it too close to ER, so we're celebrating early.

Things are going pretty smoothly for me. I had my first injection last night (20 mg of Lupron) and decided I was going to approach it like the bravest, fiercest version of myself and just show that shot who was boss hahahahahahahha. It worked though - it was over pretty quickly. No side effects from the Lupron so far other than lack of appetite, so fingers crossed it stays this way and that's the only thing I have!

I'm looking forward to my last birth control pill this Saturday. This feels like the longest process ever!

Does anyone take Melatonin, Co Q 10, baby aspirin, etc? My doctor has not advised any, but doesn't mind me taking any either and I don't know how much/when to take any of them. 

For Halloween, we'll hand out candy (we get about 200 kids) and then going to to a late dinner with a friend.

doves654! I am currently taking CoQ10, my RE haven't recommended but I have asked her and she didn't oppose to it.. According to "It starts with the egg" 200-300mg of ubiquinol CoQ10 /day.

Next appointment is tomorrow so I'll have more to update then. Done with BCPs and start meds this weekend.

As for Halloween, passing out candy at my Mother-in-Laws. They decorate like crazy and get a lot of visitors. So the whole family goes up there to visit and help out. Should be a great time.

So it looks like after DH's 3rd 0 count with nothing to freeze I'm officially out for this cycle. Prior to us starting this cycle his urologist prescribed hcg/hmg injections. His blood work looked good but now his count is 0. We need to see DH urologist and figure out wth is going on. Probably need to get a second opinion as well. Hoping we figure it out soon...

@dove654 the book doesn't mention about stopping during stims, but my RE didn't said that I shouldn't take during stims and in the book they mention that CoQ10 is an enzyme that is present in your body and decreases with age. So that's also why I was not worried about taking it even during stims. I take mine at night with other vitamins.

Pcmay20!! Best of luck to you, I really hope you can find out what is happening and come back to cycle soon. I don't know where are you but I am in NJ and my DH has a really nice urologist specialist in fertility if you would like to try a second opinion... FX for you!!!

@doves654 I take Co Q 10 and DHEA. I hope to hell they are helping, because one or both of them are making me break out so badly.

AFM- So today is day 9 of stims and I went in this morning. The news so far is ok. I only have four follicles above 10mm and they are moving along slowly. Estrogen is almost at 700. Last cycle I only stimmed for 8 days. Sounds like I'll be stimming at least through Saturday. I'm on EPP and I had high hopes for more eggs, but it's looking like I just can't produce more than four. I go in again tomorrow, hoping for more growth and a miracle of one or two more popping up.

Nothing new here. Still plugging away on Lupron. Done with BCPs and my baseline US is on Saturday. I hit a vein for the first time yesterday and gave myself a huge bruise. It was pretty gory. Wasn't expecting that. Conquering fears daily!

QOTD: We are all dressing up at work and my team is going in Mad Men theme. I can pull off a less gorgeous version of Betty Draper, so I'm coming in as her. I actually love the theme. That night we were invited to a party, but I don't really want to drink as I start stims the next day and have my baseline at 8am, so we are going to stay home instead.

I almost had a rage moment.  I have been watching my insurance site to see if the resubmitted Quest blood work claim had went through and noticed that it was processed.  I clicked on the claim and it said it was not paid because it was a duplicate of an already processed claim.  I started to get really pissed since the first time they processed it (back it August) it was denied.  Then I realized that the resubmitted claim was processed twice and I looked at the duplicate.  They did end up covering the claim.  I'm down to 3 outstanding claims that need to be reprocessed, hopefully I can get the financial lady at the RI's office and Quest to get their shit together and take care of these.

I found out my clinic only starts stims on Saturdays.  So, I was happy my baseline is tomorrow.  Otherwise I would have been delayed a week and it would have screwed up my work schedule.

Hey @NariaDreaming, oh yes. I'm sure there are many women here who deal with anxiety, because we're really just a subset of the general population of women and anxiety is very common. For over a year I have taken Zoloft and it has completely helped to silence the really irrational fear and panic. It's category C, but both my OBGyn and RE have said the risk is super remote and it's much better for your health in general to just feel better emotionally. With that said, I have recently slowly weaned myself off of it. I've done a lot of reading and have spoken to several people about cognitive therapy, which can not only treat, but cure, anxiety. It's basically just a way to retrain your brain to think a different way. I'm going that route for now. Hope this helps.

Hey Ladies!! 

 I get so much happiness reading all of your posts, and my heart just aches for those of you going through difficulties. 

 I don't know how some of you respond to each person, so tech savvy! I can barely figure out how to change my signature haha  

 Today I had my baseline u/s and blood work. I have a total of 15 antral follies! E2 was good. I picked up my meds today and will start injections Saturday evening!! I also did acupuncture today, so relaxing. 

 QOTD: I work with children, so we are all dressing up as ninja turtles! It's going to be a blast.

@stace2524 I was on vacation when it was time for my baseline and my RE was willing to push it back a day but no more without changing anything too drastically.

@Pcmay20 I'm so sorry. I hope everything gets figured out soon.

I am on day 7 of stims and went this morning for monitoring. I have 15 follicles measuring between 11 and 16 and a bunch that are less than 10. However, my E2 only increased about 40 points from Tuesday so the Dr is pretty concerned about that. He upped my dose of gonal-f so hopefully that will make a difference.

We don't really do much for Halloween. We live at the top of a long steep driveway ona pretty dark road so we don't get any trick or treaters and I can't handle scary things so we usually just stay home. I think our only plans this weekend are monitoring on Saturday... we live really exciting lives.

Hello Ladies,

I took my second to last BCP today. one more to go and then the wait for AF. I ordered last of my meds today, and will get a box tomorrow.

I don't know if any kids will be coming to Trick O Treat (TOT) in our complex, since we live on the third floor, and it will be alot of walk up and down the stairs. But I did buy candy in case somebody shows up. We moved here in February so do not really know how TOT works here. I will probably take DD to my moms house and go TOT there with my niece, and sisters.

@nariadreaming--I had considered going on meds for anxiety and depression symptoms right after our diagnosis but I decided not to start as we were starting IF treatment. I do go to a counselor every couple of weeks and that helps. My anxiety is not terrible on a daily basis, but I recommend talking to someone as something to try if you're not already!

I am still stimming. I was concerned about low Estrogen on Monday's check (76), but today I am up to 640ish. I have 2 follicles measuring 12mm on the left and also 10+ small follicles on each side. RE decreased the Follistim dose in hopes we can grow the smaller ones without those larger ones getting too out of control. So far it sounds promising for a nice even group. I'm betting on an ER next Tuesday or Wednesday, and I'm already starting to prep for the constipation with my Colace and Benefiber! I love when DH makes fun of me for being an old woman.  I am not feeling too hot today either. I feel like I usually feel right before transfer--full and uncomfortable. 

I was thinking of you ladies as I chatted with a woman outside of the clinic this morning waiting for the doors to open. It was nice to talk to a real person who knows what the experience is like, but I realize I get to do that through this board too!

Hi Ladies! The computer I'm on sucks so I can't tag anyone, but I love titted the posts!

It looks like I'll be the first Tiny Turkey to have egg retrieval! If all goes well tomorrow, I will trigger and have ER on 11/2. Last E2 was 1400 and I had 19 measurable follicles. I'm starting to feel like crap so hopefully tomorrow is it. I have no appetite and I'm so nauseous. Sunday seems so far away!

QOTD: We have a Halloween party on Saturday - still no costumes so I should probably work on that. Sunday should be the ER!
