Sending you lots of t+p's! I know that's a scary position to be in, but you are in good hands and whatever happens, it will be ok! I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago...just try and stay calm, mamma! Xox
Lots of good juju being sent your way! Let us know how things are going when you have a chance.
Married on October 20, 2012. Began trying in January 2013. RE appointment & testing December 2013 - February 2014= Unexplained IF, possible endometriosis IUI#1- March 22 (100mg clomid, 75 mg of Bravelle, Ovidrel trigger) = BFP!!!
GL with the Induction. Check out the preemie board for info. At almost 35 weeks, your LO might just be a grower and feeder and you may be able to BF and tube feed rather than bottle feed if you want to avoid bottles. And FX for a short NICU stay.
bfp#4 3/19/2014 edd 12/1/2014 please let this be the one!
I'm so sorry they weren't able to stabilize your BP and are having to move forward with induction, dear! I can't imagine how stressful that must be! I hope that the time he needs in the NICU is very limited and that you're able to snuggle sweet Lucas very very soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I hope all goes well with your labor and delivery today! I know it must be heartbreaking to know Lucas will be in the nicu but sending t&ps he won't have to be there long!
January 2014:BFP!!!! Ectopic pregnancy ruptured at 6wks1day. Left Fallopian tube removed. Noted during surgery the right Fallopian tube is severely damaged from 2004 ectopic pregnancy.
April 8 2014: IVF#1 w/ISCI: 10 received, 5 mature, 3 fertilized. Day 3 transfer of all three embies.
April 22, 2014: BFP! beta #1: 80 beta #2: 211 One nugget!
Thinking lots of good thoughts for you and little man.
For what it's worth, I was induced for loss of fluid and my son was born at 34w 5d. He spent 2 weeks in the NICU, which was tough, but both he and I were well taken care of. We were totally unprepared, but used the time to get ready and learn from the nurses, which turned out to be beneficial for all of us. He's a rough and tumble, 33 pound almost 3 year old now, and you'd never know he was early.
TONS of creepy internet hugs for you!!
Our #2 is on the way!
BFP #1 - 08.2008, EDD 3.19.09 - Missed MC at 9 weeks - 09.2008
I'm sorry things aren't going the way you had hoped or planned. The bright side is that they will get him delivered before your high BP hurts you or him. Stay positive and do the best you can. Thoughts and prayers!
Continuing to send prayers for you, your LO and your doctors.
In case it's helpful, my understanding is that most hospitals will try to let you pump and give your LO as much breastmilk as possible, even while in the NICU.
"And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."
so sorry this is happening, but so glad it was caught before anything seriously life threatening for you or baby came up. Don't know if it's any consolation, but for my last labour/delivery two years ago i had some complications that turned my plans for a gentle, non-medicated natural birth into me under general anaesthetic and baby in teh NICU for a week (plus me admitted for a week as well). We couldn't do immediate skin to skin, baby was monitored 24/7 and was on donor milk, bottle then nasogastric tube, pacifier etc for the full week.
the good news was, he was 100% healthy by the end, took to breast feeding like a champ, dropped the paci within a couple months, and continued to nurse for another 19 months. even though your start won't be ideal, you could still have all the good stuff once you and LO are healthy and safe.
even though it feels terrible when your well-thought out plans go out the window, you're doing what you need to do to ensure a healthy mama and baby. it took me about 1.5 years to feel at peace with my own birth story, but it did happen.
