Which would be a better investment?

Around the holidays, my FIL always gives us a generous monetary gift. This year I'd like to to take some of it and invest in some CDs.

I am debating between some bamboo prefolds (or inserts) and some wool covers. 

In your opinion, which would be the better investment? This could take into account resale value, how long they last etc.

I agree. Cotton prefolds are pretty great; though, admittedly, I have never tried bamboo prefolds.

I think Certificates of Deposit would give you the best return. But your baby can't wear them.

How many wool covers do you have? I know they don't need washed as often as regular covers so I assume you could have fewer?

The best return for a CD. Obviously there are better investment instruments out there. But she was asking about CDs.

I mean, I haven't looked into it but my guess is that diapers, especially used ones, will depreciate more than cash, even if interest rates don't keep up with inflation.

Wool covers hands down. BTW little spruce organics had Disana will covers at ten dollars of right now. I just ordered from them, can't wait for them to arrive!
