I spent more money than I care to admit on "school pictures" from daycare. The photographer dressed all the kids up in Old Hollywood style clothing and LO's pictures turned out better than I thought. She wasn't smiling in any, but she wasn't hysterically crying, which is what she did the first day they tried to take her picture.
This is more of a random, but the randoms thread seems done. DH lashed out at me last night for something stupid and it turned into a fight. Come to find out...he is stressed because he is unhappy at work. He loved his job, but this one guy is making is difficult for him and his boss is playing both sides (something I've thought for months, but DH is just now noticing). I feel bad for him but don't really know what to do. I found a couple job postings last night and sent them to him. I hope he actually applies or works on some new career goals. Grumpy DH is the pits

I lied to the pedi this week when she asked if we watch TV when Rachel is in the room. dh is a TV addict. He turns it on as soon as he walks in the door.

I just started reading Fifty Shades of Grey... this woman can't write for shit, but I know I will end up seeing the movie and I like to read books first.
We sold our house yesterday, and we had to agree to be all packed up and moved out by next Friday.
My husband was on call at the hospital last night and I was exhausted after putting the kids to bed, especially since our son is fighting off a recurring fever from his last round of vaccines. So I ate m&ms and watched west wing. It is going to come back and bite me in the next few days, but last night it felt so good to lie on the couch, snuggle with my pup, and not move for a few hours!

However, since having the baby, my H has taken to parking his car in the driveway, to avoid opening the (loud, old) garage door that is right under the baby's room when he leaves for work at midnight. He's still been leaving his keys in his center console while it's in the driveway, so essentially the car sits from about 6 pm to midnight in our driveway, unlocked with the keys in it. I haven't really cared/thought that much about it until this morning, but I realized that just because I'm not worried about the car being stolen doesn't mean it's safe to do. A kid or preteen could find the keys and go joyriding and cause a lot of damage/injury/death. Extremely unlikely, sure, but possible. So, I'll be insisting the keys come in the house at night from now on.
OH, and my kid finally STTN last night after probably close to 2 months of sleep being interrupted from illness and teeth!!!!!!!1111!!!!!
FFFC: I think I was really starting to resent him waking up so much in the night, and that makes me feel guilty. My rational brain knows it's not his fault, but my caveman brain was all, y u no sleep good?!?

A family friend used to do this a long time ago. His car was never stolen but his house keys were and the thief later came back and pretty much cleaned out the house. Scary stuff.

Truth be told, it is kind of ridiculous to spend as much as I've probably spent on food just for the game pieces. I justify it to myself by saying that I don't gamble or buy lottery tickets, so once a year this is my 'fun' obsession. Also, some of my best memories of childhood with my dad was him taking me to McDonald's and we ALWAYS got a game board and collected the pieces every year. He always got the filet o fish, barf.

DH has been gone for almost two weeks and every night I feed A, we play, she goes to bed, and I eat junk food, watch TV, and go to bed early. He texted last night that he will be home sometime between 2am and 5am Saturday morning (he wasnt supposed to be home until Sunday morning). So last night I had to clean and do laundry... This is a FFFC on behalf of my parents. My mom leaves her keys in her purse, in the car, in the driveway. All the time. She also doesn't lock the house during the day if she leaves. Only at night when everyone is home. Until a few years ago, there was only one house key...like my dad did not have a key to his own house, bc it was always unlocked. Growing up I thought this was normal and that everyone else was paranoid, but now I realize they are crazy people!

H has been sick for a month now, and even though I act the part of the caring loving wife and get him what he needs and pick up his prescriptions I'm so over it. I'm exhausted from doing all the child care duties myself (my shower last night consisted of Eleanor banging on the bathroom door and then him coming in to use the bathroom just as soon as I stepped out of the shower).
I think he's being dramatic and just want to roll my eyes all the time.
I think he really is in pain and miserable though so I just keep all my thoughts to myself.

I haven't reassembled any diapers all week after washing them, I still could diaper baby girl dor another 4 days before assembling any diapers. I'm a cloth diaper addict. Just waiting for timing to be right before I order the other two Martin prints so I can properly intercept the mail. LOL

This morning I was playing with DS when all of a sudden there was something bright green and mushy on his chin. I was like "holy hell what did he eat?!" and fished the rest out of his mouth thinking a call to poison control would be next.

I thought today was Halloween for a few hot minutes.
My aunt & cousin came over so I could help my cousin out with her resume. And I said to my aunt, "Doesn't Olivia have a half day today?" My aunt was like "No..they shouldn't" And I was like "hmm, well New Haven does.." And my aunt was like "Why would they?" with her eyes all big because at this point she's second guessing herself, thinking my cousin is going to be getting off the bus in 10 minutes with no one home, and then I'm like "HOLY SHIT!!! I'm an idiot, today is not Halloween." I didn't have volleyball practice today because they were doing a trunk or treat at the school I coach at so my mind jumped to Halloween for a few..haha
