What are you up to this weekend?

A friend is coming into town! I am so excited. We are going to do baby room stuff paint, put in the closet system etc.

Sun H runs the Marine Corp marathon. And friend and I are going to go cheer him on.

I get to help my finish installing my basement window tomorrow and then they're staying for dinner and games.

Sunday I get to sit through 10 hours of real estate law classes. YAY!

I know, I know, clearly I live an exciting life...

Busy, but fun weekend here! Going to a local farm with my in laws on Sat, then going hiking in a gorg state park 2 hours from us on Sun.

Power is out and I'm very sad, I need my computer! Mobile bumping for now... Luckily I noticed it before DH had to be up for work so I was able to set an alarm for him on my phone.

Ella is getting her first hair cut at Magic Kingdom barbershop on Saturday! I may cry.

Other than that, DH has a ton of school work to do and a late project to oversee at the office, so I don't think we'll see too much of him this weekend.

Hopefully this weekend is spent mostly on prepping the room for LO. We need to move a ton of furniture, clean and paint. We ordered the dresser and it could be here any day now, so I'd like to get these things done before we put furniture in it..

Other than that, I'd like to find some time to go see my horse. Missing her these days

I'm getting DS to eat eggs for the first time in his life. I've never met a kid that was so against eating eggs for breakfast in the morning. This feels like such a huge victory.

Lots of fun stuff! Attending a blackbelt ceremony at my taekwondo school tonight, then Mexican food! We have a Halloween party on Saturday AND best of all, some of my husbands' relatives facebooked him yesterday saying they had a lot of baby stuff, including nursery furniture that they wanted to pass on to us! I'm stoked! This'll give mt DH some incentive to clear out his stuff from the baby's room!

@lizzybean that's going to be such a fun memory to have! Having a first haircut at the Magic Kingdom would be pretty awesome

We're hoping for a low key weekend. It probably won't happen, but I can dream.

@sugahcookie01 - you can! It depends what you're making, but you shouldn't need to add any additional cook time.

Yes, I've cooked them just fine totally frozen at low for eight hours. It was in a chicken taco recipe.

Have you tried cheese? Ella thinks cheesy eggs are the best thing ever.

Ronan hates the texture of scrambled eggs so no amount of cheese helps. I made a cheese omelet and browned the egg so that it looks more like a tortilla than egg. It was only 2 bites but I call it a victory none the less. He even went in for another bite after I gave him a banana.

MH will be out of town on Halloween so we are going to a trick or treating event at a strip mall by us. They'll have characters dressed up from Frozen too. Norah will be happy! Hope the weather is nice this afternoon...

I make breakfast "burritos" for DS. It's the only way he'll eat eggs. He loves tacos, so I made them on whim one morning and now he asks for them all the time.

Soooo glad it's Friday. On the other hand, Saturday is my hardest day of the week in a lot of ways. Our weather is going to be awesome so I'm looking forward to that. My 24 week appt got rescheduled for next week--bummer--but I can count on one hand the number of times that has happened in 10 pregnancies so I can't complain! Also I scheduled a "training" ultrasound at the local tech college for November 10th. I'm so excited for that one!!

I just had what's become my weekly sausage biscuit with egg from McDonald's. Culinary highlight of the week.

Weekend, let's see: running errands, catching up on our baby to-do list, finish boxing the rest of our books and try to get rid of as many bookshelves as we can. Prenatal yoga tomorrow. All in all, not the most exciting weekend, but hopefully we'll get lots of sleep.

@sugahcookie01‌ yes on the frozen chicken.. I just put some in before I headed to work... But it's for buffalo chicken pasta... FI's all time favorite meal but uh... He can't really tolerate it so we have to have it on the weekend. Apparently it's that good... I like it, but nothing is worth eating when you know it messes you up 100% of the time.

I wonder how many early morning ladies sat staring longingly out of the window for the sun to come up to post

We have a 1 year old birthday party tomorrow and then an Amway Open House in Atlanta on Sunday with my sister.

What would you buy for a gift for the 1 year old?  I was thinking books as opposed to toys.  Thoughts?  If so, some favorite books?

@sugahcookie01 - That's exactly what we do when I'm making shredded chicken for our tacos.  I toss in half a frozen bag of chicken and set it for the 10 or 8 hour cooking time.  We've never had any trouble with it.

Like I said, they definitely aren't RULES at all! I just saw a lot of sad ladies on UO unable to keep up. I think having even an "Early Risers" thread would combat it, too! 

Oh gosh, I don't think anyone took it as rules. But it was still dark when I logged on this morning and didn't see a spam thread. It just tickled my funny bone (and I was the first to say something about them posting before sunrise, so I told myself I couldn't start it, haha).

Hola!! Lets see... work sucks, DH & I are annoying the shit out of each other (on purpose), I have lots of laundry to do this weekend and should also probably tackle cleaning my room. It currently looks like remnants of a tornado trail.

Busy weekend here! Seeing my friend's twins Saturday. Then making homemade chili & carving pumpkins & watching OSU w/ friends. Sunday is the Bengals game!

Today I will say I've learned one lesson.. don't wear the low band maternity jeans when your measuring 30w. Holy Eff I'm so uncomfortable, it's making me sick to my stomach!

Morning ladies! I'm sitting at work waiting for my coworker to get fired at 11AM. It's so awkward that we all know it's coming. Makes my stomach hurt!

My MIL arrives in town in about 30 minutes. She is staying with us for a wedding tomorrow afternoon and then my parents' big Halloween party. I'm going to be a pig in a blanket.

Hoping to have a relaxing weekend otherwise. I just got the book "Belly Laughs" and want to spend some time reading it.

I'm getting up early for an 8 mile run tomorrow. Then cleaning the house and getting the fall yard work finished.

I also feel the need to bake some pumpkin treats to celebrate fall. I may need to make some pecan treats for H too since he's not a big pumpkin fan.

Thank goodness it's Friday! I really want breakfast food for some reason. Like when I used to drink back in the day and go out the next morning hungover for eggs, hashbrowns and pancakes. Those were the days. May have to hit up an IHOP or something this weekend.

For me it would be too close. I have a coworker who is due Dec 11, and her shower is Nov 15th. I felt weird when talking to her and my edd is Feb 7th, and here we both have a shower on Nov 15th. I guess some people are okay with a month or so to go.

who gets fired at 11am?!? so weird. You should get fired first thing in the morning or last thing before the end of the day. Is she supposed to continue working the rest of the day? does she get paid for the whole days work?

Do you have to travel to it? I think if it is in your area, it shouldn't be a problem.

Kohls has an awesome fundraiser called kohls cares for kids. They sell nice hard cover books and a matching plush toy. They are $5 each. They usually have several different books/plush at a time all by same author. It changes all the time. Super cheap good stuff for a good cause. If you want to spend more add a pair of Jammies. Kids always need jammies!

@musicgirl524 I haven't been to many baby showers.. but it's usually a month bf the due date in my circles as long as you're not traveling far.

Right!!!?!?! I don't understand it either. I just started working here in May so I don't know how it will all go down. Receptionist is an hourly employee so I imagine will get paid for whatever hours are reported.
