a little shocked...(UPDATE...This is goodbye...)

I haven't been around the board much because I was nervous after having some spotting and cramping, so I've stayed away recently to take my mind off of what could happen.  Well, I went to the doctor last week and he was of no help in reassuring me everything would be fine, based on my LMP I would have been 6 weeks 5 days, and they couldn't find a heart beat, I know that timeframe can be early, but vaginally there's usually a good chance.  He just kind of handed me the ultrasound and said to return in a week.  I definitely didn't return to that doctor this week, I went to another doctor (the one I used my last pregnancy...it's just a little further away), so they did an ultrasound, based on my LMP I should have been 7 weeks 5 days, the doctor that did the ultrasound said I was measuring 6 weeks 3 days.......but there are two sacs!  I'm still a little nervous because there still wasn't a heartbeat, but last week there was only one sac and this week there are two!  They put me on progesterone injections and I need to go back in 2 weeks for a followup to try to get a better picture (first the abdominal ultrasound my bladder was full, then they told me to empty it for the vaginal....well I had stage-fright and couldn't empty it, so he said it wasn't the best picture he could get!)  I'm also freaking out a little about the thought of twins....my baby girl turns 1 next month so, if these are really twins I'll have 3 under 2!!!


***UPDATE***
Well, ladies, this is goodbye for me.  I had my appointment yesterday and the sacs stopped growing at about 6 weeks....

Ah! That's really exciting and probably overwhelming! I'm secretly praying for twins, I think it'd be so fun! To go from not really feeling good about an ultrasound to seeing two sacs the next is crazy! I've heard that you can't really hear a heartbeat until 8 weeks, so I wouldn't be too worried! Keep us updated!

That's so exciting! Maybe you couldn't see the other sack at the US because they were on top of each other or something. At least with two sacks they are fraternal and  you'll be able to tell them apart! 

I went in for an ultrasound at six weeks five days and didn't hear a heartbeat and went in again yesterday at eight weeks and three days and we could see the heartbeat before we even heard it, so, don't freak out. It's still early.
