Silas slept from 9-2 last night (and so did I!) and probably wouldn't have even woken up then if DH hadn't come to bed (why can't men do anything quietly??). One day we'll all sleep... ~O)

I didn't get to read last night. Gone Girl is still gone.
GO ROYALS!!!
Helpful hint of the post: Don't steal credit cards. You may not be able to get a job in Finance. Brought to you by the chick I'm working on today. I'm also working on a girl that resisted arrest and another that shoplifted. Shady ladies.
My kid cracks me up. Thanks to my BFP, I've had really sore boobs the past few days. As of yesterday, I decided that I wasn't going to nurse Jackson before bed anymore (we were only nursing before bed and first thing in the morning). Last night he didn't object to me putting him to bed without nursing, but he was awake for almost an entire hour after I put him down (he's normally out in 15 minutes). He didn't cry or fuss once during that time. Instead, he sat in his crib making roaring noises. There's a lion in one of his books and about a month ago, we taught him that the lion says "roar". He sleeps with his favorite stuffed bunny, and I watched him multiple times pick up his bunny and roar at it. So apparently not nursing has turned my kid into a lion! What a goof.
Why is selecting something off of a menu for lunch so hard for some people? I am collecting lunch selections from 30 ppl for a meeting next week. Some of the responses are ridiculous. One person just said "turkey sandwich." There are four different turkey sandwiches on this menu. I'm ordering him a ham sandwich, just because.
(FFTC: I am fairly certain I have not washed my real bras since before Luke was born. Because I don't wash them every single time I wear them, and I mostly don't wear them. Currently at my office wearing a sleep bra....)

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
Our offshore team is putting together a magazine. They are requesting all of us to do a survey. I have to think of my favorite food. I don't have a favorite food. I love all the foods. I thought about bacon but a lot of them are Muslim and I didn't want to gross them out. I thought about a cheeseburger but the ones who are Muslim are Hindu so I don't want to freak them out either. This is such a silly thing to be worried about. They know we eat these foods. They probably wouldn't be disgusted by my food choices but I'm hesitating anyway. I love all the foods.
@jamis1284, I'm sorry your LO has a goopy eye, I hope it gets better....Caleb has had one, too--we saw an eye specialist for a blocked duct and they tried to "probe" it to break the membrane, but it didn't help and I think we're going to have to go the more aggressive route where they put them under general anesthesia to take care of it...going to talk with his pedi again at his 15 mo appt next week
@redrocksmama, soooo cute with the roaring!! Caleb hasn't started making animal sounds yet but his favorite bedtime story is all about animal sounds, so I think he's just internalizing and perfecting them in his head lol hope you are feeling well (BFP-wise)!

G does not have an ear infection. :-bd But she thinks his eye goop could develop into pibk eye. :-q Have to watch it over the next few days. And! Since I talked about him having a fantastic rash free booty, there was a small rash when the pedi took a peek at it. :-t ~X( I'm not lying lady! I swear!
I had a twatwaffle of a nurse at my confirmation appt this morning. I called and left a message for the office manager b/c I'm horrified at the way I was treated.
Other than that, P has a stuffy nose and diarrhea (that will hopefully clear up before Thursday b/c we have a really busy Thursday-Sunday) and one of the crew members that is finishing up our window replacement cut off the top of his thumb today while working. He came to the front door gushing blood, so we quickly got him some gauze and offered to take him to the ER. What a crazy day!

Whoa. That's a lot to take in. I'm sorry about the nurse. Hopefully the manager gives you a call back. What happened to make her so hateful?
I also feel bad for your construction guy. OUCH! I had the tip of my finger come off when I was a little one. I still have the scar and it's been 32 years. I'm glad I don't remember that. Did you guys keep his thumb and take it with you? Ugh, gross.
@sparkymcgeee Yes, he kept the piece. I almost puked :-& He called someone to take him to the hospital even though DH would have done it (he was working from home today).
As far as the nurse: she completely dismissed my previous history of loss and pregnancy complications. We went over my pregnancy history before I took the pregnancy test. After I took it, she came back in the exam room to inform me that the test was "faintly positive". I asked her if it was consistent with being 4 weeks 3 days and she huffed and said that I was 4 weeks 5 days by LMP (even though I already told her I had longer and irregular cycles). Then she told me that pregnancy tests couldn't tell me HOW pregnant I was, looked at me with a condescending smirk and asked if it was my first pregnancy. Nevermind that we had JUST gone over my history about 5 minutes prior. Every question I had for her she "couldn't answer" and she told me that I didn't need any early or closer monitoring (betas, u/s, whatever) even though I have had a loss and IUGR.

X( Thank heavens my doc remembered all of my complications and loss history when I went in for confirmation with Isaac. I would have cried if I had that type of reaction. Is it the same office? I hope you get some good answers. I seriously feel for you on this. PgAL brain is hard enough. The doc is supposed to help ease some of those fears. Then to have a high risk pregnancy and be pregnant again is really hard too so I get that. You always feel like the other shoe is going to drop. Something has to be wrong because you've had a loss and a scary complicated pregnancy. However, that wasn't the case with Isaac. He was perfectly fine the whole time. I hope your new little nugget is exactly like Isaac. Just comfy and cozy and perfect in there. Hugs! If you need to talk let me know.
Ughhh, sorry @KiKiCohen - I really don't understand why people go into a service job (especially such a sensitive one as a nurse) without any people skills. You are working with people who are usually scared...have some empathy.
We are bringing all of our plants in from outside with this cold front and I'm realizing that we have TOO MANY PLANTS. Our house is looking like a jungle and I still have about 8 big plants on the deck that I need to find a spot for. I'm responsible for way too many living things.
